Like many who purchase I spent a number of hours researching which flashlight to buy. I decided on the Seddy Tech flashlight because of the reviews posted highly regarding this product and it being British made. Unfortunately the product did not live up to my expectations of the high praise that so many had given it.The flashlight arrived on time and we'll protected in its Amazon packaging and the black plastic case. I quickly inspected the case and contents and all looked as it should and undamaged. The case and contents were put aside for closer inspection and discovery later.On later inspection I found that the flashlight and holster appear to be well made but the other items especially the charging equipment feel very cheap with no real substance about them at all. There were missing items consisting of 1 x red cycle light and 1 x AAA battery holder. The instructions, such as they are and how much instruction does one really need for a flashlight, were read and one of the lithium ion batteries that are supplied was placed on charge for the instructed at least time of 4-5 hours, actual time charged 5.5 hours. Battery dutifully charged it was inserted into the flashlight surrounded by the thin opaque plastic tube and with the access screwed back in place the flashlight was turned on. Nothing, absolutely nothing happened, no blinding white light, no widened floodlight, nothing other than the click of the green power button in the end of the flashlight. The charging process was carried out on the second battery and the same result.My suspicion is that the very cheap charging dock is the culprit. The battery does not sit tight within it whether it is in the opaque plastic tube or not. The charging connector on the charging cable does not seat all the way onto the connector in the dock either so I am unsure if any power is being transferred at all, despite a red light glowing on the dock when the cable is attached. The instruction sheet actually state that there is no light!!I have now had the issue resolved by Amazon and a different flashlight will be arriving today, not a Seddy Tech. I cannot recommend this product despite the flashlight looking and feeling well made. The missing items show a lack of quality control when placing these kits in to the plastic box. The flashlight cannot be tested either by using AAA batteries because of the missing parts. The instruction sheet is obviously translated text because the written English and grammer is poor therefore I also reserve comment on whether this item is British made but my suspicion is that it is not.I fully appreciate that I may be the unlucky one and received an odd faulty product but I can only review a product based on my experience with it. The onus must be placed with the seller to ensure that their product is fit for use and that means working. If I was asked by anyone should I buy this flashlight I would have to advise against it and tell them to stay well clear and not to waste their money.

I wanted a brighter led torch for use in work and was attracted by the positive reviews and the 2000lm, I've got a £10 led torch which is great but keep in my car and is rated at 1000lm. Unfortunately I was disappointed with this torch, the light output and distance covered wasn't as good as my cheaper torch thus am presuming the 2000lm is measured when at full zoom rather than normal use. At no zoom level was I overly impressed by the light output, It was adequate but not great. To be fair I may be confused what a tactical light is supposed to be used for and possibly being harsh therefore if you simply want a bright torch with a good flood then look elsewhere... on a positive note the zooming feature, which can be used 1 handed, helps to concentrate the light but reduces the flood and as mentioned the light was never super bright which made me doubt the 2000lm.Edit: since my review I have bought 3 further torches (Wuben, 2 fixed and 1 adjustable lens) all about half the size of this unit and much much brighter, I checked out youtube reviews before buying them and the torches didn't disappoint (all rated around 1200lm) thus as suspected dont rely on the stated 2000lm for this torch. When reflected off a surface this torch doesnt dazzle you like all my others thus suggesting the light output is well below what is stated. Compared to my others I would suggest a 400-500lm rating would be closer to the mark. I paid £24.99 and now price has dropped to £17.99 in my opinion its still overpriced, to charge you have to remove the battery whilst my new torches have a micro usb charging port built in, bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this torch even with the price drop....

very impressed with the performance of this torch i bought it for two reasons i am a cyclist and i can use it it as a torch also. the beam is amazing i did not expect a torch this size could produce such illumination. im getting used to the idea that the torch is pushed down over the handlebars and pulled off .first of all i thought its needs secure fixing but then again i have to remove it every time i lock my bike up cos if i dont pull it of someone else will for sure . its a good fit as it is. i found that the wall plug has a charging light that does turn green when charged.. i think the focus ability will be very useful on a bike can get it on the road without blinding them poor motorists .....

Working as a delivery driver this is a fantastic bit of kit. Very bright allows me to see house numbers from a great distance using the focused beam, having the extra battery and AAA battery holder and the options for charging means I always have it ready for use. Would highly recommend this torch. Came back to buy a second one as a xmas gift for father who fishes a lot however the one I previously purchased is no longer available so got the new option with the bike back light ( as mine came with the front bike light kit ) I now have front and back bike lights ( back light is very good highly visible and gives both a directional beam behind you and two laser guide lights on the ground ). However it is missing the 1 x AAA battery holder , have contacted seller and awaiting response if they send me the 1 x AAA battery holder will upgrade to 5 stars same as previously purchased SeddyTech flashlight kit.

I am truely amazed at the quality and contents of my delivery. My parcel came quicker than I thought it would. Packaging very good and sturdy. I had a play with it and was astouded by the strength of the beam. Well worth the price I paid. I was also surprised to find the rear LED lamp for the rear of my bicycle also in the pack. I was just expecting the torch.
