What a great marriage of old fashioned whimsy (Marigold the Unicorn) meets modern day nine-year-old (Phoebe). I haven’t read any Phoebe and the Unicorn comics before but this certainly won’t be my last! I need to read the backlist asap! This just made me long for my childhood days! God, I miss being a kid….I was transported back to my childhood and the simple life for a few hours and I just feel so REFRESHED and HAPPY after reading this. Dana Simpson captures the purity and simpleness of being a kid with a great blend of magic, modern day humour and every little girl’s (and big! C’mon we all secretly or not so secretly want a unicorn!) wish of owning a unicorn! Oh and the glossary at the end is just great! I was thinking oooh I wouldn’t know some of these words if I was a kid but the glossary was perfect! What a great way to secretly inject some words into your little one’s vocabulary while having fun?!! Well played Dana Simpson! Love the series. It's best book ever. Great for a funny read. I have read it 12 times, and all the other books, too. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I love the pictures, too.It is great for any girl or boy who loves unicorns and adventures. I recommend this series.I t also taught me to read harder words and look at what they mean. Plus, it taught me some important lessons.

Unicorn Crossing is a popular graphic novel series in my elementary school’s library. I bought this book to complete the series for my students. I love this series because a lot of the younger grades want to sign out graphic novels like the big kids, but there are many that aren’t appropriate for their grade or reading level. This series is a good introduction to graphic novels for my grade 2 students. It is difficult to keep this series on the shelf because my students are always signing them out. My students were very excited to see a new Unicorn Crossing book and some said this was their favourite book in the series!

Funniest

Great series - cute, funny, and gets kids thinking about more than YouTube. Skews a bit older than most cartoon series but that is a good thing. My 9-year-old daughter can't get enough of it.
