I think that if I continue to use the mouse pad and it wears in a bit then I'm fairly certain it would become more consistent.I've gone back to using my Steelseries 4HD pad which is perfect but no longer available to buy, but I will use this FNATIC mousepad as a replacement when the Steelseries 4HD wears out. The FNATIC mouse pad is very similar in character, and only has a few minor negatives, one of which I think will disappear once the mouse pad is worn in.
