no...handle is brushed steel, door is mirrored glass, rest is black painted metal or black plastic.Have had this microwave for about a year now, it works well, looks good, I would recommend.

My unit has buttons mixed: timer=clock, clock=timed defrost, timed defrost=weight defrost, weight defrost = "g" (?? not in manual). is that normal?

I wouldn’t have thought so, that would mean you could name any button anything and it would be like a lucky dip. I would say you have a faulty keyboard.
