Should have got one sooner!!!
Like other reviewers our dogs are getting older and their capacity to walk far now very limited. Our oldest Maltese has severe mobility issues but still loves to go out for a 'walk' with the other two. So I carry him! That's not a problem I'm used to it. His body is letting him down but he is not ready to leave us yet! We like to walk and explore and the dogs have always come with us. So with our holiday in Wales approaching we needed a solution that would make life a little more comfortable for us all. With this in mind I looked at all the options available. Carriers were out of the question as they are not comfortable for our dog. So our only option was a buggy/stroller. I did wonder what people would think of dogs in a pram! Most are similar to a child's buggy and quite limited on space. If we were to invest in one it needed fit all three dogs. They are small, two maltese and a chihuahua cross. Ideally it also needed space for our old boy to lie down.I did a lot of research and eventually found the bike trailers and people using them for their pets. When I saw the Innopet sports buggy and watched the videos on YouTube I decided to give it a try.Well, I am so glad we did....this is the best thing I have purchased for the dogs in a long time!We had quite a list of requirements and my goodness this ticks all the boxes.Easy to set up - just push on the wheels open the frame and off you go.Folds flat for storage and fits in the car.Adjustable height handle suitable for all sizes my husband is 6ft 4. Large bike tyres for all terrains - we have used it on sand, gravel, rocky ground and through forests and fields. It is amazing, the three wheels are so smooth making it easy to push and it turns so easily even when fully loaded. This buggy has been a lifesaver we love it. It took a day for the dogs to get the idea it was for their benefit. But after a day of sun, sea and sand they were exhausted and ready for a rest. We have taken them along some fairly difficult coastal paths to the beach. Then let them out to enjoy the sand. We then pop the old boy inside and the others trot along until they need to hitch a lift! The mesh keeps them in and protects them in windy conditions. Access is easy. The back panel zips all the way around to provide a large opening and the front also opens. The pocket is handy for water and other essential kit.The rain cover stored under the mattress was used yesterday, dogs nice and dry - we got soaked! The buggy also provides a shady place to sleep. See photo. As it is essentially a bike trailer it is sturdy and very well built but still light and managable. I am so impressed at the quality of the frame and cover. For us it has been a lifesaver enabling us to enjoy our holiday with no compromises. We have walked up to 8 miles of coastal paths each day. We have also walked through town with the dogs onboard away from people and traffic. As the owner of very small dogs I cannot remember the last time I was able to do this knowing they were safe and happy. As they have got older our family walks have become shorter and shorter. Anyone considering a buggy for their small, elderly or infirm dog just do it. It really doesn't matter what people may think. In fact we have had many positive comments from people stopping to chat and hearing adults and children think it's really 'cute'!! We make adaptations to make life easier for ourselves as we get older why not for our beloved pets? Our new 'Sports Buggy' will be used for years to come - should have got one sooner. Five stars.

Chariots of the Dogs!
After rupturing his cruciate ligament, we needed something to get our 9 year-old Cockapoo (and ourselves) out and about. We were under strict instructions from the vet that he shouldn't have more than a few minutes outside, on a lead for toilet purposes. This could be gradually increased over the next 2 to 3 months but still not for too long. As he loves being outdoors and we love walking, this seemed like the ideal solution. After researching many other strollers, this seemed the best. It may be a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. It looks good too, is extremely light to push and manoeuvres very well. There is an attachment to convert to a bike trailer should you wish and there are three straps inside to attach to the dog's harness or collar to prevent him leaping out unexpectedly. Pneumatic tyres (which can be inflated using a standard bike pump) mean a much smoother, quieter ride and can go "off road" if necessary. We went away for Christmas, so this was essential to allow us to get out and about, without leaving him behind (he's too heavy to carry!). Had a lot of reactions from people, mostly positive, once they understood the reason for it. Obviously a few must have thought we were just pampering him, but you just have to get past that as it's for the dog's welfare. It's good that he can get to see his favourite places and can socialise with other dogs, especially ones he knows where we live. We let him out for short periods to have a sniff etc, but he's quite happy to hop back in again. It comes with a rain cover, but this completely encloses the buggy. Our dog prefers sitting with his head out of the front so he can see what's going on and I have completely unzipped the front mesh window. It also has a "sun roof" which can be unzipped and rolled back and fastened with a toggle. Large rear panel can be unzipped to allow entry from the back (which is our preferred method, although we tend to lift him out from the front. It just seems easier). The handle can be adjusted to different heights for comfort and can be fully collapsed for storage. Wheels are easily removed/attached and the whole cabin then collapsed for storage/transporting.All in all an excellent, quality product that means we can all enjoy our walks. And it will be useful even after his recovery as he gets older!

Great buggy ideal for my Beagle recovering from an operation
I bought this to take my Beagle out whilst she recovers from a cruciate ligament operation. She likes the outdoors and I make a few stops on the way to let her out for short walks. She got used to it after a few trips. The size is OK for her as she is 18kg in weight and a good medium sized dog. I think it would be too small for a bigger dog. It has 3 retention leads inside and these are a must to stop her from trying to get out when you have the front open. It is so easy to assemble (minutes) and is sturdy. It folds down and it is easy to take the wheels off as they clip into place. Having 3 wheels makes it easy to manoeuvre (and I think better than 4 wheels). The sitting base is firm and has a thin(ish) pad for comfort. However, I made a deeper foam pad to make it more comfortable. Braking is done by a bar that clips down onto the back wheels, which you can do with your foot. The adjustable handle helps get the best height/pushing position and I didn't realise how important this was until I used it. I would think it is better than a fixed position handle. I have used it every day for the last 4 weeks, sometimes for walking around the village, but mostly in my local woodland and it copes very well with woodland paths etc. I haven't used it as a bike trailer so can't comment on this, but it does come with the attachments to connect to the back wheel. All in all a great buggy, and although a bit pricey when compared to other makes and models this really does the job and I'm glad I chose it.

Super pratique

Verdient 5 *****!
