This insert is glossy and grippy - it can be difficult to insert into a tube for bending. Took a lot of dish soap to get it into place. It works, but should really be made out of a smoother material. I recommend Thermaltake’s insert.

Worked well for me, but it was actually a tiny bit undersized for a 10mm inner diameter hard tube. That means the slightest of kinks formed very easily in my acrylic tubing. For a first time build, I didn't really care, so this is a decent budget option. The slight undersizing did mean it was a lot easier to remove than other silicone inserts

I used this to bend 5/16 ID clear tubing for an aquarium project. It works great and was easy to remove. The only tip is to be careful that the rod doesn’t twist when bending the tubing or else it will telegraph the twist to the heated material.
