This product is only ever going to seal the smallest of leaks or cracks, being in liquid form as it comes out of the can, drying to a plasticky finish. But in these cases it seems to be quite effective, if layered as suggested. You need to spray thinly, leave for 15 minutes and then do several times more to build an effective covering. If you're using inside I'd advice the use of a face mask. It has a strong aroma and being an aerosol does fill the air, which is not only bad for the lungs but has a strong pear drop aroma. But overall, if your gap fills the criteria it works well, though I have no idea how long it will last.

This stuff really does do what it says on the can. Like anything from this manufacturer, it’s high quality, dries fairly fast if applied in small quantities. Provided the area is cleaned reasonably well it seals without that awful stickiness of mastic. One tin will seal multiple small leaks. A note of caution, this is a temporary fix and would not be strong enough for any pressurised system for any extended period of time, if at all. Its function is mostly to stop that annoying dripping gutter, or a small crack in a flat roof. It will stop a leaking pipe at a poorly fitted union provided the thread isn’t too badly cracked and the leak isn’t huge or the pressure isn’t too high. It’s superb for its primary function and I’d recommend keeping a tin in the garage.

The JENOLITE Stop Leak Sealer Spray is a great solution if you have irritating leaks in your gutters, roofs or other surfaces. Honestly, I was sceptical. We have had a 15mm Perspex joined roof leaky on and off for the last two years and I just did not want to replace it with so much other DIY going on. All my other fixes, tape, sealant, more edging, larger flashing, worked for a while, but started leaking again within three to four months. Then I used this spray over a year ago and it has not leaked since. I was so impressed that I even bought some to help my mother-in-law with a similar issue. You MUST properly prepare the area—I mean really prepare it. I learnt this the hard way. The first time, I just wiped it down and sprayed it and within four weeks, it started peeling and looked like fish scales! If you take an extra 20 minutes to ensure that the surface is clean and completely free of oil and dirt, this stuff works. The spray dries quickly. Just shake it up and apply in small, thin layers; do not try to empty the can in five minutes. Let each coat dry properly. Unlike some other sealers, it creates a semi-flexible, watertight seal that will not crack over time. However, I am not sure how well it would perform in areas with a higher movement. I have used this on metal, concrete and plastic. A week after application, we had significant rain—no leaks, no peeling… nothing. It is also UV-resistant, so I am not worried about it breaking down in the sun. When I inspected the area about 12 months later, while doing other work, it was still in good shape. I suspect this is because the spray seeps deeper into the gaps compared to tape and general sealant. This is a solid leak fix. I originally thought it would be just a small-scale temporary solution, but it has lasted more than 12 months and gave me time to focus on other house projects. It saves money on repairs, is durable and is easy to use. If you have leaks, grab a can and try it; you might save yourself hours of frustration!

It works, but I have to say, it was a bit awkward to use. As you're spraying it, it can get all over place, but whilst you don't want to drown the affected area, you don't want to underuse it either, so it's a balancing act that you have to strike. Another thing, the instructions say you need to "dry the effected area thoroughly before applying", etc, but, obviously, if there is a leak that you're using this product to fix, trying to dry it thoroughly is a bit of a challenge lol.

What more can you say but does exactly what it says on the tin. Bought to spray the underside of a shed roof that no amount of rendering to the outside seemed to cure so decided to cure it from the inside...no more leaks. Just spray on, leave, job done.

Totally ineffective despite following online advice re cleaning the area first and applying several layers. And it stinks something awful. Definitely not for indoor use under the sink as pictured

I have used it to fix a leak in my gutter and it seems to work. The texture of the product is very liquid pretty much like hairspray.
