DIRECTORS BOOKCHAIR BLACK CLOT

Very cute & fit for purpose accessory.I was tired of trying to prop up books I was reading at my desk with various odd objects...I purchased 2 of these (the white and brown stands) for my office desk and my home office desk.The book stand is large enough to accomodate large and thick books and is very stable. The false "director" claps are very practical to hold the page you are reading.Only small issue may be for smaller books (thin novels etc...) where the depth of the chair seat and short page holders make for a tricky hold.However, since I am using this stand mainly for large statistical, marketing and programming books, the product is perfect for me.I love these stands.And last but not least they look great and add a bit of fantasy to your desk space.

This is great. I have arthritic wrist and thumbs and find it painful sometimes to hold books and my tablet. Works great on table and also rest it on a pillow beside me in bed to get the height. A bit fiddly at first but once set up got used to it and is serving me well.(since 1st posting this review have glued the hook to stay in one position as I will only ever need it standing up highest position and it keptslipping out when I turned pages and drove me mad. Suits me better now.

This stand looks great, nice quality to it too.I bought this, as I've broken my ribs and I love to read but trying to get comfortable enough to read a book whilst trying to find the right position to be able to relax at the same time. The Directors Chair Book stand has been very helpful.It's not perfect though, then again what is? I bought this primarily for reading in bed, it's built well and is stable but the design is hook and eye. When I hook it together and put the stand on the bed or desk the hook comes out of the eye and when trying to turn over the page it has collapsed a couple of times.It could just be me, failing to grasp (no pun intended) the hook and securing it in place properly. But I've tried screwing the eye different ways and it has sorted it out to a point. There are no suggestions or instructions, but it is very simple to set up. It would be nice though if they gave you an idea as to how to keep the hook secure.The other problem is, this stand won't hold very thick books, e.g. Dan Brown sized books. The page holders are adjustable to a degree with the aid of a small Phillips screwdriver. I would have given it 5 stars if the screws were longer and it mentioned needing a screwdriver to adjust.It's a fantastic tablet and Kindle stand with space to charge the device whilst reading or watching.I would recommend it, looks great and is practical other than the couple of things I found. Brilliant price too. Works as a copy holder as well.

This is an excellent product, I love reading, but I can't hold a book for long periods, due to arthritis. It holds big books easily once you master turning the pages. Well worth the money. It came in a nice presentation case. Would recommend this product.

A lovely idea for a product and I look forward to seeing it in use. Sadly on delivery the product was damaged. The material used is quite fragile and splinters easily. The image of the product gives the impression of a robust product but the wood does not appear strong. I worry about how strong it will be when it's in use if it's damaged already. It's a shame as it was intended as a gift.

Really handy to use with my ipad

Very handy (pun intended). Does the job. Only had it a short while so cannot comment on durability. Seems strong. Only downside is the price :/ but I still bought it .

Arrived well packed and looks great on my work desk.
