Serious protein, Serious value
Extremely good value protein powder, I've always paid under ยฃ30.00 for this product and in my opinion it's very tasty when mixed with milk, its not as nice with water but still drinkable, it mixes easily with a shaker mug no lumps with a vigorous shake,I've now reordered this 4 times, iam seeing good results and iam more than happy with it,

Great price compared to alternatives
I read a lot of reviews before deciding to take a chance on this product, hopefully this is useful to someone else. I've been using the product for a few weeks now, here are my thoughts. When I came to the end of my last batch of protein powder and looked to replace it I was shocked at the price and started looking for alternatives, and Serious Protein came up. There were mixed reviews and I thought long and hard about it, but the price was so attractive I decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. There were two main issues I saw raised by other reviewers: lumps and taste. Lumps: The product is a lot thicker than the far more expensive alternative I was using before. I now use at least 300ml of water in the shaker, and shake for a good hard 30 seconds. I now have minimal lumps which I don't find to be a problem. I suggest that anyone having problems with lumps is not using enough water (I used to use 200-250ml) and/or not shaking enough. Taste: This is far less sweet than that other product, but I really don't find it offensive. I'm also happier to have less artificial sweetener every day. My rating: This is so much cheaper than the other product I was using that I'm happy to put up with the extra water, extra shaking, and less sweetness. Well worth it in my opinion.

1 star is Generous, Truly Horrible
This is actually my first ever 1 star review. Normally Iโd just move on, but I genuinely feel like I need to warn others about this. I only bought it because it seemed like great value 4kg for around ยฃ30 is much cheaper than most other brands. I read a mix of reviews and decided to take a chance, thinking at worst it would be okay for the price. Unfortunately, it was far worse than expected. On the positive side, it arrived quickly and when I first opened the bag it actually smelled quite nice. I couldnโt find a scoop inside, but I had a spare so not a huge issue. However, the taste is absolutely terrible. Thereโs no real hint of chocolate at all, and the aftertaste is honestly like smelly feet, really unpleasant. I gave it another chance using 2 scoops with 500ml of water, but that made things even worse. The consistency turned thick and glue like, and the taste somehow became even more unbearable. I even tried giving it away to friends, and every single one refused after trying it. Itโs so bad I couldnโt even give it away for free. Really disappointing purchase, cheap for a reason. Avoid.

sensible choice for anyone looking for an affordable everyday protein
This protein powder is a super convenient way to increase my daily protein intake rather than as a dedicated post-workout whey replacement, and I think thatโs where it offers the best value. The flavour is pleasant and quite mild, with a light sweetness that isnโt overpowering. Because the main ingredient is soy protein, the texture and taste are a little different from a typical whey protein shake. It isnโt quite as smooth or creamy as a pure whey blend, but itโs still easy to drink, especially when mixed with cold water or milk. I also found it works well in porridge and smoothies. One of the biggest advantages is the value for money. A 4kg bag lasts a long time, and I like that it combines different protein sources rather than relying on just one. If your goal is simply to boost your daily protein intake without spending a fortune, this offers an excellent cost-to-protein ratio. Pros: * Good value considering the large 4kg size. * Mild flavour with a subtle sweetness. * Blend of different protein sources. * Low-carb, making it suitable for higher-protein diets. * Mixes reasonably well with a shaker. Cons: * The soy protein gives it a slightly less smooth texture than a standard whey protein. * Those expecting a rich, milkshake-like consistency may find it a little thinner. Overall, I think this is a sensible choice for anyone looking for an affordable everyday protein supplement rather than a premium whey product. The quality feels appropriate for the price, the flavour is easy to drink regularly, and the large pack offers excellent value. I would happily buy it again as a practical way to increase my daily protein intake.

Good taste, good price
I purchase by price, so this is what led me to getting Serious Protein (with this being my second purchase). I wanted something easy in the mornings for breakfast as I'm always on my feet, and I can't eat a lot at the start of the day. I have had the strawberry and chocolate options, and both have been fine for me. I can't compare them to many other products, and I usually have mine with water (and even more than the recommended amount). I haven't tasted anything odd, it's fine, and that's what I'm looking for. I also use a blender when mixing, which I recommend with any shakes. In terms of making overnight oats or mixing it with anything else, I can't give much comment. I tried once myself to make overnight oats with it for a change, but my inexperience led me to making a mess. Otherwise, I love the calories to protein ratio.

They need to prove the quality
I'm torn with how to rate this, which is why i've gone middle of the road with 3 star. On the one hand, it's a large quantity for a cheap price and a mixture of whey and casein, which i find an excellent idea as it covers both bases by giving fast and slow release. But on the other hand there's no amino acid profile so we don't actually know what we're getting. One red flag is that it's got additional glutamine, which bumps up the nitrogen content. Since protein content is measured by way of nitrogen content, the listed protein of 24g per serving is not accurate since part of that protein is going to be the nitrogen from the glutamine. The whey is also concentrate, not isolate, and without the amino acid profile we have no idea how good it is. Look at the price, they've certainly saved cost somewhere. Is it from a poor quality whey concentrate which has then been padded with glutamine so as to bump up the protein content? There's no way to know. Is it the flavour? The flavour is certainly not of high quality as others have noted, but it's not offensive (the chocolate actually tastes like pistachios). Maybe it's both of these things? I won't buy it again because i don't know what i'm buying. It might be 50% padding and filler (or more), which would make this powder a poor deal as then there would be better tasting protein powders out there for a lower cost per gram of protein. It's actually a shame as maybe this is made with excellent ingredients and the money is saved solely on the flavour. Although it is strange that there's no amino acid profile. Are they hiding something? Or are they just saving cost again so as to keep the price low? Prove the quality.

Add decaf coffee, shake violently quickly
Bang for your buck. Doesn't taste to great but significantly cheaper than anything else on Amazon. Add some decaf coffee and it tastes good. Also, the moment the powder hits water get the lid on and shake violently, that will mix it properly. If the powder sits in water before shaking it will clump. Small effort to make it work well.

Totally recommend
I took a risk with this as some reviews said it had a disgusting texture and taste. I bought this to increase my protein intake on wegovy without having to overeat. I use mine with 250ml of milk and blend it using an electric smoothy maker twice a day. Making it this way creates a smooth shake that tastes quite pleasant...a bit like a creamy, chilled horlicks but definitely not chocolate. I usually drink mine an hour after making it and it isnt chalky. For the price I can't fault this product as the bucket will last me about 6 months.
