I took a few months to do a side by side comparison with a control. I happy to admit that the product did avoid contamination, including 2 & 3rd flushes (soaked for 24 in the solution with distilled water). Output in additional growth was between 15-25%+ by weight. Which was better than our averages, so our team has no negatives at all aside from the amount provided and the price. However, R&D is expensive, so we get it. I would definitely purchase again for our grows. We have our own DIY mix, but this one out-performs ours, but we also know why. Strain selection and sourcing.

As far as I can tell, this is the only product of its kind. Learning how to cultivate mushrooms successfully is a huge learning curve. Contamination with Trichoderma plagued my grows. I have noticed a significant improvement in the health of my substrate and size of my fruiting bodies! When you open the package it STINKS! It took me by surprise, I’ve never smelled something like it before. My first order I let the packet sit in a drawer and I noticed the smell went away. Which I don’t think was a good thing, my second order is stashed in the fridge and seems to be retaining its properties. It’s worth the price and the product is very effective!

Seems to work to promote growth. Plugs upthe spray mechanism pretty easily though.

You can never truly know if these supplementary nutrient things work but ever since I started using this I've been having excellent results TIP: you need very little for it to be effective. You can get away with using this tiny bag for years, probably

I used this on two batch’s . First on had trich immediately trashed it. Second batch had a good first fruiting but had trich on second fruiting. I usually don’t see trich til 4th or 5th fruiting. I will never use again!

I had a pretty bad trichoderma outbreak in my grow space awhile back, and despite multiple deep cleanings, meticulous procedures and running a HEPA filter 24/7, each subsequent grow resulted in a mean green outbreak right around the first flush, crushing yields. I know what I'm doing, and I've been doing it for decades: I culture on agar, my rye grain spawn is super robust, substrates pasteurized per Stamets and spawned 1:3 grain/substrate, no casing - this had been working for years and then all of a sudden it wasn't. I tried autoclaving the substrate and then introducing b. subtilis (a known trich-suppressing microbe) during spawning, but kept getting hit. I was desperate. Got both MGP and Just the Trich, thinking I'd try MGP first and then move on to JTT if that didn't work (the maker says JTT will reduce yields). Followed the MGP instructions to the letter - less is more - and was blown away both by the substrate colonization time (4 days from spawn to ready-for-fruiting), voluminous and even pin set and absolutely no sign of the mean green. I've gone five flushes before the substrate putters out. So thanks, Dr. Myc. I don't know what's in this secret formula exactly; I suspect (based on the scent and the colour of the powder) it's a mix of b. subtilis and some other beneficial bacteria along with a surfactant, but if I purchased those components separately and combined them myself (I priced out this option, BTW) it would still be about the same cost, so why bother? The smallest package will last for a year at least, and it's money well-spent, as it solves two of the most persistent bugaboos of home cultivation: slow, uneven colonization/pinning and trichoderma outbreaks. Essential.
