So when ordering this item, I had a choice between 3 or 6 months. I chose 3 months, but when this piece of garbage came it would not activate without me putting in a credit card. No thanks ... packing it up and RETURN TO SENDER.

Do not second guess yourself. A very safe phone monitored by us the parents. This is no internet so zero access to the web, perfect. My daughter has to ask to add contacts, we choose, and you can monitor the testing. Quality phone, large screen great games included.

Phone lasted less than 1 years, don't waste your money

This phone while certainly being safe for kids as a communication device is beyond impossible to use even when allowed apps are installed. They don't show up. Every time my kid opens his phone and wants to use something as simple as the alarm clock app, we get a huge notice saying the action is not allowed and to contact IT. So, I go into the parental dashboard online, make sure every bloody box is checked, and still nothing. It is constantly crashing. The phone service is unreliable. It's overpriced Samsung garbage that does not do what it says it can do. If the allowed installed apps would just work (learning apps!!!!) and if the phone service would stop dropping, I'd not be actively searching for a new phone. This thing comes across as the answer to your prayers as a parent, but the usability is utterly dismal. Cannot recommend.

Pinwheel is the perfect phone for my 8 and 10 year olds. I wasn't ready to let them have access to social media and wanted to avoid internet browsing, so this was the perfect solution. I love that I can monitor any texts or calls remotely so I don't have to take their phones and feel like I'm snooping on them! They love them!

Don’t buy it!!! I purchased a Pinwheel as the first phone for my middle school son. It’s unreliable, over-priced and never worked correctly. Apps didn’t load, most of the time after unlocking it wouldn’t bring up the Home Screen and would crash.There’s no tech support. I’ve owned several Android phones it shouldn’t be this hard!

Hands down this is the best kids phone on the market and we've tried flip phones, Gabb, etc, Pinwheel looks like an iPhone and has everything a kid would need without social media, YouTube and a web browser and I can see everything through an app on my phone. Nothing for me to set up except the pre-configured schedule when he gets to use it. I have no worries about him getting places online he doesn't belong. And we had the flexibility to use any carrier. The world would be a lot safer if all kids & teens had a Pinwheel.

PSA: Do Not buy a Pinwheel phone for your kids. Just don't do it. We chose it over a Gabb phone for the additional safe apps it promised. And so our daughter could still stream her music and keep her same playlists. She had the phone for less than a year before it broke. Not dropped. No water damage. The dumb thing simply stopped working. After 11 months. Before that, it was glitchy, unresponsive, and all the so-called "safe" apps had to be removed, as they led to internet access.They have the WORST customer support ever! And they do not guarantee their phones. Not even for a year. They offered us 20% off to buy a replacement. That's it. And that was after battling them for a long time that a broken phone is not "their responsibility" and we should "lower our expectations" on what they can do for us. So they finally offered 40 bucks...off a $200 phone! So if it continues to crap out each year, they'll allow us to buy a new one for $160 a year. In fact, when you cancel your Pinwheel account, on the dropdown menu for why are you canceling, one of the options literally says: "Phone broke and you won't replace it". Which means this has happened before. Probably a lot.Such a frustrating situation! Save yourself the headache. Don't buy Pinwheel.
