The product is excellent in composition very sturdy and looks good. My issue was that it moved on my typical Axminster type thread carpet. I have since worked with the supplier who was extremely concerned about my problem and have supplied one more suitable to my pile. I cannot commend their customer service too highly as they sought to satisfy my needs. Really excellent customer service and as a result I have improved the rating

Floor mat was delivered on 23rd May 2020 and lasted a couple of months before cracking. I contacted Amazon within their 3 month A-Z policy period and left three messages via their messaging assistant. I have not yet (as of 10th September 2020) had any response from the supplier and when I contacted Amazon they washed their hands of it saying that the 3 month A-Z policy time period had passed, even though initial contact was with the three month period. The floor mat itself is supposed to be suitable for use on carpet, but the material it is manufactured from is too brittle and will not cope with any sort of deflection due to the weight of castors on an office chair. I am not a big bloke but this mat has developed cracks very quickly from first using it. Once the mat has any sort of small crack in it, the mat is as good as finished as cracks very quickly spread. Three months after buying this the cracks have developed into holes and pieces have come out of the mat and the chair mat is now simply not usable. My advice is not to buy this product, or anything from this company. the product is not fit for purpose and the company wont respond to messages. I have been left with a defective product and out of pocket. Amazon have also not helped in anyway whatsoever other than to act as a post box for messages. I have been part of Amazon Prime for many years and this is the first time I have had to ask for their help. Its not been a good experience at all.

I bought the product for my (upstairs) home office which has a medium pile floor carpet and where I have a 5-point chair. I looked in several carpet shops and office supply depots but they didn't have anything that looked sturdy enough, or was even focused on a carpet covering that would support 5-point charirs. After reading the reviews, I decided on this mat This product is exactly what I wanted: 1) the 5-point chair glides on it; 2) it is clear so that carpet and its colours are not hidden - at first glance it is not obvious that it is on the floor. 3) it is made of tough material. I have had it for just over a month so I can't comment on its long term durability but it is in constant use, and so far so good. A few minor points 1) I would highly recommend you measure the floor space where it will be used and pick the size of mat accordingly. I bought the 100x120cm size as I felt the smaller size would be too small and I feel vindicated on this decision. 2) They do warn you of the slow delivery time, which was slow - . somewhere about 10 days or so. Also, it is shipped from Germany, and where I could see it was dispatched, thereafter tracking data was poor to non-existent so it was hard to ascertain where the holdups were occurring, and at times I wondered if it had gone astray. This is the only negative, minor as it is, and the reason I give a score of 4 rather than a 5. 3) when the mat is delivered it is tightly wrapped. When the bindings are cut it springs into its final size.. I would recommend that you position the mat in its final position before cutting the bindings, and have a pair of work gloves on when doing so. Overall, I highly recommend it. Ray Fleming 2016-11-04

I bought one about 5 years ago only now 2019 it has started to crack so If I get another 5 years out of this new one ill be very happy grips the carpet well and only needs to be moved back into position once a week on my carpet anyway so would recommend this matt no problem. I didn't get 5 years out of This one not even 1 year 8 months then three big cracks appear Feb this year 3 more big cracks appear now scrap and out beside the rubbish buckets I would NOT recommend this comapany they dont even answer your e mails if you want to ask them something and I certainly wouldnt recommend the matt its crap simple as that

Good Product

This is the second office chair mat that I have purchased. The first one worked out a little too small and didn't allow much room for movement on the chair. This is much better. I have a large computer chair and the legs are quite wide. This mat gives me enough space to move around from left to right when working at my desk. The transparency is also quite impressive. The material is shiney hard plastic so it has a reflection but you can clearly see the carpet underneath which means the mat is not as noticable as some of the other ones which are a bit more cloudy. Me desk is also 200cm wide which means this mat sits flush end to end and looks quite smart. It is quite heavy and the gripping means it doesn't move much when you are moving around in your chair. It's not too grippy either like the first one I bought. This is important because although you want it to stay in place you don't want it to pull out the loops in your carpet or rug.

We purchased 2 of these items to protect the carpeting within a section of our office. The first one shattered within days of purchase and it was reported to the company who asked for a photograph which was sent but we have not seen any reaction. To date we been unable to return the defective item or obtain a refund, now after only 6 months the second item has shattered too. In our opinion we feel that there are better quality items on the market and purchasers need to be able to obtain at least a replacement for a defective item.
