This stuff, is amazing. Honestly, it's not half as brutal as when you go to a salon to get waxed.
Okay, so I just finished doing my bikini ten minutes ago and had to leave a review. This stuff, is amazing. Honestly, it's not half as brutal as when you go to a salon to get waxed. Granted, I didn't give myself a Brazilian, not even a Hollywood but I'll get there. As a woman of jewish decent, I have a fairly densely populated area of hair growth down there 😂, I started at the sides and worked my way in. I have gone for a Brazilian wax maybe...five times in the last five years and each time I have left trembling from the adrenalin and pain of it. I have also epilated (argh!) around the edges of my bikini. Lately I've lost the will to do that seeing as it's so bloody painful and have just been letting it grow out, 70s style. In doing so I realised I could probably hit the beach bottomless and people would just think I'm wearing a pair of dark shorts. Oh yes, hair for days. So with about 1cm of hair growth I got to work. The outer regions were basically painless and I'm not joking. It just felt like I was ripping a bandaid off but I assume this is because there area was desensitised from waxing and epilating previously. I did my bumbum which was a bit tricky but I found that placing a mirror and squatting over it whilst applying the thin layer of wax (important that it's a thin layer) and then laying on my side with my leg in the air enabled me to reach the angle I needed to pull the strip in the opposite direction of the hair. This is absolutely not a glamorous procedure and, luckily for me, I am in a long distance relationship which means no one was about to walk in on me and have all romantic thoughts about me destroyed in a matter of seconds. As I started nearing the middle areas and top of my ..."lips" I would have to say that's where it got painful. You really have to give it some welly. I had a painful accident where I wasn't holding the skin taught enough and pulled away and it felt like I split my skin, I didn't but ouch. Anyway, if you're like me in that area around the top part of your pikachu, and it's very dense, you might need to do it in very small parts because my god, a) it fricken kills as bad as a wax there and b) you need some serious triceps strength and mental preparation. Anyway, now I have a nice neat bikini line at least, hardly any redness or soreness like when you get a wax and best of all there's zero humiliation in front of anyone else haha. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Less pain than threading and usual wax
I've yet to use this wax on the rest if my body but out of desperation I used it on my eyebrows today. And my goodness I barely felt anything. And the best part is I didn't get a rash. I tried waxing my eyebrows with a waxing strip and broke out into an ugly bumpy rash on my eyebrow which was not fun. I've not waxed that area for like 15 years and prefer getting threading done.Encouraged I then decided to do my underarms. Again less painful than wax strips but not as painful as I thought. I usually get waxed there so maybe I've become desensitised. I did find out that I shouldn't use too much wax and to use lots of baby powder. I also was told that sugar wax sticks to the hair and not the skin when being pulled out but I can't verify that. But I do feel it's less painful than wax strips and my salon wax. Also with this wax u can either wash it off with warm water or use a flannel to wipe off whatever is left although hardly any wax was left behind.I also used baby powder on my eyebrows btw. I will update this once I use it on the rest of my body.I was suprised to see a small pack if strips and a few big wooden spatulas and a mini one for the face I assume.I will recommend this definitely.Update 17 OctoberI've successfully used it on my legs and bikini and I would recommend you get two pots to do the whole body. It's definitely less painful than wax strips as I've had to use it when the sugar wax ran out and I felt the difference! And it's value for money as to get a full body wax will set you back on average 40-60 pounds and this pot cost under 10. You just need to allow the time to do it. And learn to be flexible!

Great for coarse hair!
Purchased as a more natural way of getting rid of hair. I had tried plenty of brands selling hot wax, cold wax, wax strips etc but they all seemed to play Russian Roulette with my leg hair. Having gone through multiple waxing preps and aftercare methods with the same lacklustre results, not forgetting redness, irritation and the joy of ingrown hairs and inflammation (from bikini wax) I became pretty despondent.Heard about sugar paste which led me to sugar wax. Saw this advertised in a well known drug store but they were out of stock so ordered via Amazon. This is my second order and after paying £20 for a larger pot of sugar wax by another brand I will be sticking with Sugar StripEase. I didn't think you could screw up a product that contains sugar and citric acid but low and behold twenty quid down the drain. This is by far the best wax I have ever used. Heating instructions are accurate using the microwave. I did find after about 30 mins the wax became too solid to continue so had to reheat. Have since purchased a wax heater for longer waxing sessions. The 100% natural ingredients are a real bonus and apparently unlike other hot waxes the sugar only sticks to the "hairs" and not the skin, leaving the protective barrier on your skin?Like other comments I agree it is less painful on the bikini area than other waxes. And for the hairs on my legs, which point in every direction known to man, being able to wax over the same area multiple times without damage to your skin or any irritation is a real plus. The same goes for underarm hair which generally grows in 2-3 different directions.I deducted a star for three reasons which should be considered.1) The price. It depends on how much you use, the coarseness of your hair etc but I would like to see more than 250 grams for £10.2) Should come with more wax strips. Ran out part way through, yes you can buy more relatively cheaply online or wash the strips you have already used - a very messy job, leaves the strips less sturdy wouldn't recommend.3) You can easily burn the sugar wax (making it unusable) when reheating the pot if it is too empty. If microwaving a full pot the instructions given apply. However if you are reheating a pot that isn't nearly full the heating time required is drastically less. You can tell when you have burnt it, and when it cools it is rock hard like treacle. A waste of money if not forewarned.Still very impressed by the product and will continue to use for underarms and bikini, but will look for another product for "finer" leg hairs (grips coarse hair very well, not so great on the finer hair) that is more economical.

If I could give 0 starts I would. I ...
If I could give 0 starts I would. I have been sugar waxing myself at home for a while and this product just doesnt do it for me. Consistency and effectiveness is really low

Not my favorite
Just got this yesterday and where do I even start first of all really sensitive skin I usually do not shave with razor because I get a lot of bumps and ingrown hair. So I followed instructions and put it in the microwave and the moment it started spinning I saw fire coming out or something like that so I basically had to put in the pot and instructions says not to let water get in but the tab automatically starts coming out the moment you put it in hot water and water got in I mean do I really have to keep this up every time I use it because it doesn't really make sense it's just so difficult every time I have to just keep this up because the plastic things like don't allow the wax to get hot at all. I don't know this is just my personal thought and honest thought and honestly it is great because it doesn't have any sense but at the same time it seems like it's kind of like a too much of a work for $20 wax
