Great book to learn about money!
True to its title, this is a great book for young adults getting ready for the real world to learn about money. I highly recommend getting this book as a gift for someone finishing up high school. Never too early to learn about personal finance and how to accumulate wealth in life. The author is a great writer, as she also made content easier to understand with useful examples throughout. Now in my mid-30s, some of the financial advice offered in this book I had to learn the hard way over the years. For example, only learned about auto loans and interest rates when buying my first car out of college or learn to shop around for better mortgage rates when purchasing my first townhome. But I was still able to learn about some new online shopping tricks, what to do and not do while building credit, different types of interests/loans, numerous retirement programs I’ve never even heard of, and side hustle ideas to make extra cash. So, I wish I had read this book when I was in high school, I could achieve financial freedom much sooner, make better investment and purchasing decisions, and plan an even earlier retirement.

Excellent guide to financial responsibility that I wish I had 20 years ago!
"Personal Finance Made Easy for Young Adults" is a comprehensive yet easy-to-read guide aimed at introducing young adults to personal finance. The content is informative and entertaining, with a "down-to-earth" tone that makes the book very easy to read. Beginners will find the information helpful, while people with more experience could also use this book as a way to refresh on critical financial areas (budgeting, taxes, retirement planning, etc...). The book contains plenty of relatable examples and anecdotes, making it even easier to relate to. Quite honestly, the content within this book should be something that most young adults receive in one way or another, as it's far less common to see people with a firm understand of the concepts presented. This book would be a great resource to use, as it's well-researched and gives the necessary tools to set young adults on the path to financial success. Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their understanding of literacy as it relates to personal finance.

I appreciates how this book doesn’t talk down to you. It covers credit scores, debts, passive income and much more. A great book for beginners. A smart no nonsense guide to guiding wealth early. Would have been nice to have earlier in my lifetime.

Excellent read!!
I received the advanced reader's copy of this book and I really loved this read. The author prefaced the book with her own personal experiences which promoted a sense of reliability to the information provided combined with an easy to read format. As a graduate student who is financially independent, this book is a great guide to finances at this stage in life, ranging from education about loans, budgeting, and insurance. I recommended this book to some of my fellow graduate students to provide them with this great resource for this time in our lives. The book is tailored to the finances of young adults but also provides emphasis and support to plan for later. Some of my favorite highlights from the text were Chapter 1, Foundations of Personal Finance; and Chapter 7, Banks, Interest, and Loans. A lot of the elements especially outlined in chapter 1 go into more detail about topics we think we know about, whether it's been heard from family or briefly in school. This chapter provides details to personalize the content to your life and your financial situations to help you determine what you're doing right and some things you might need to work on. 11/10!

Perfect for young adults to learn finances
I got this book because I'm looking for a finance book for my daughter. I thought this was perfect for her. It's short, sweet, written in plain terms, and gets the point across about money. What she needs at her age is awareness and a strategy—this book gives this to her. I'm glad it also addresses things like retirement and emergency funds planning, which I don't think a lot of young people think about, plus credit card debt. And debt, in general. I think she'll get a lot out of it. My only critique, which is the four-stars, is I wish there were more graphs or planner examples, or visual examples, which I think this generation responds well to. But still, overall, good information and organized well.

Super Helpful!!
I really enjoyed reading this book because I could connect to it in so many levels because the author and I have similar backgrounds. My parents are immigrants and I grew up helping them in their restaurant since I was a 2nd or 3rd grader. However, as soon as I was born, I was also sent to China after a couple months. I think having the author preface her book with her story does bring out an emotional area for me. However, when I was 17, I left my family to live on my own through because I could not continue handling the amount of trauma my mother put me through. My relationship with her has its ups and downs and I do miss my dad all the time. Anyways, leaving home meant that I had to figure out everything that had to do with finances on my own, whether it was getting a credit card or paying taxes. Many times I was super confused, especially with taxes. Reading this book now makes me realize how beneficial this book would have been for me if I had read it sooner! It still provides tips on managing finances that I could use now because I'll admit - I'm not very good at that! I pay for college and rent on my own, but I like to have fun too! I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is starting to step into the adult world and I would have my younger brothers read this as well!

Suitable for older and younger
I'm in the category of between ages. And I do believe this would suit anyone up into 30s bracket. There is so much useful information even to just refresh on or get new ideas. It is slightly American based In parts but the ideas can be thought into your own country and financial corporations there.
