Bahco 208 Mini Hacksaw , 25.40 cm

This is a must have for any tool box. Moreover it saved the day in removing over tightened Z couplers (by manufacture) on a 3D printer. (The type with a gap down the sides). The 3mm screws were so over tightened the hex heads were just churning. Wouldn’t be without it now. Next job a stripped screw head on the part of decking I need to remove by the pond.

Bought to deal with a stubborn stripped screw. All other methods had failed so only option was to saw off the head and it was in a place impossible to get to with a standard junior hacksaw. I bought it based on the reviews saying the blade flexed as that’s what I needed. Is small, neat and compact, the handle is small (bad news for anyone with larger hands) but can be used without gripping the handle. The end of the blade is clearly unsupported, hence the flex, but that makes it really good for tight spaces or where something is flush where a bit of a bend is useful as it reduces the risk of scraping damage. I didn’t find it flexed too badly and it was perfectly possible to maintain a firm line for sawing. Sawed through the steel screw in 1-2 minutes, which was a life saver as needed to remove a cover to get to fix a leak. Very happy with this, did exactly what was needed with minimum fuss and low cost. I’d recommend it for anyone’s tool kit - you may not use it often but when you need it, it’ll be the best tool for the job. Very happy I found this - was looking for cut disks for a hand tool and this came up on the search. Have marked it down for sturdiness but actually that’s why I bought it - others may find the flex an issue.

I wanted a smaller hacksaw and having seen this ordered it. Very pleased with the item and it’s been used several times already with great success. As it’s smaller it gets into smaller areas when the full sized saw would be too big. It’s a powerful cutting blade. The saw is well made and you can get replacement blades. The price is very good.

Great saw wish I brought one of these sooner. Got me out of a real tight hole. Stays in the tool set for sure.

Bought this to remove rusted screws in an awkward location. It took some doing and I didn't manage to saw through any of them completely, but sufficiently to break them off. Seems well made enough and the simple mechanism makes changing or moving the blade easy and quick. One tip from me, there's only a short piece of blade projecting beyond the end of the saw when you receive, it but this can be lengthened by loosening the retaining screw and moving the blade forward. Updated My 2023 I've been using this for a while now and it's been a great addition to my tool bag. Highly recommend for general DIY.

I have just received this little saw and have none of the problems of the other reviewers. True it comes with a unusual short blade but the standard 12 inch blades fits it just fine. The slot in the handle extends for the full length allowing the blade to protrude out of the end . The little pin that holds the blade in place is secure. The blade is held very securely by the finger screw and the saw sits nicely in the hand.

When working in tight space, I had previously just removed the blade from a hacksaw, grabbing it tight. Thought I'd splash out and get a proper mini hacksaw and it's worse! Maybe more comfortable to hold but there's still no tension in the blade, you need even more space to use it, and you can only use a shorter portion of the blade making it harder work. For what it's worth, this Bahco model had a good quality construction but it's all a flawed idea really.

Das ist zwar nicht die ideale Eisensäge aber für manch problematische Stelle und kleine Schnitte in Kunststoffe gut bis unverzichtbar. Wohnt stets im Werkzeugkoffer und kommt öfter zum Einsatz wie gedacht.

Poco más que decir... solo la he usado en un lugar en el que cortar con una sierra tradicional más grande era imposible por la limitación del espacio. el tamaño es muy compacto y la sierra es robusta. El material no sabría decir si es metal o un plástico pero de calidad extremadamente bueno
