easy and good to use

Purchased this and the drain bowl at the same time. Needed to drain a radiator in my caravan to top up the anti freeze in the system. These work great. Not one drop went on the carpet when using the drain bowl, and refil was easy with the bolt on dosing tool. Saved a fortune using these instead of paying a plumber.

I was repeatedly let down by a plumber who promised to put inhibitor into our sealed heating system. It was long overdue and eventually I thought how hard can this be, so I did some research on You Tube. One of the videos suggested buying the Eezyfill and it looked straightforward enough so I thought I would have a go and ordered it. Delivery was predicted to be a week or so off, but to my surprise it suddenly turned up in the post after just a few days, so it was time have a go and start undoing bolts on my heating system. I thought a little bit about my experience at using this device might help another amateur to have a go, so here is a brief summary. The video I watched suggested undoing one of the pipes at the bottom of the radiator after completely isolating it and bleeding off the pressure. I am sure that would have been fine but I had noticed a convenient nozzle on a pipe underneath the pressure gauge of the Combi. So I shut down the Combi, then the thermostat valve on every radiator in the house, then placed a short hose on the nozzle under the Combi, leading to a drain. I had seen warnings on You Tube that the valve might leak round the thread when I started to release pressure using the nozzle, but to my delight this particular valve stayed sealed and the pressure was released straight down the hose. Next, back upstairs into the bathroom where I opened the pressure release valve on my chosen radiator, turned on the thermostat valve (releasing the back pressure) and the radiator immediately started to empty. I let it empty for about one minute then closed the valve on the nozzle I had used to lose pressure downstairs. So now it was just a matter of unscrewing the half inch nut on the opposite side of the bathroom radiator from the bleed valve, screwing in the Eezyfill and slowly pouring in the inhibitor with absolutely no mess or wastage. I Then removed the Eezyfill, replaced the nut, sealed the radiator bleed valve, re-pressurize the system at the Combi, bled the bathroom radiator, ran the Combi at full heat and then checked the other radiators for air. Job done! What a useful little device the Eezyfill is and it will save a lot of money over future years as I won't have to pay a plumber > £100 each time to update the inhibitor.

Does what it supposed to do, no leaks away and effective for adding treatments. Good price too.
