Bosch 621101 Service T-Disc for Tassimo T20/T40/T65/T85/Bosch Spare Part

I recently inherited a Bosch Tassimo TAS2002 coffee maker that had been sitting for a few years. Naturally, the first thing I wanted to do was clean it out before attempting to make a hot beverage with it. The individual that gave me the coffee maker said I was out of luck - I'd need a "cleaning disc", and the one that came with the machine was lost. I immediately turned to Amazon and within 5 minutes, had my solution. I paired this cleaning disc with Urnex Dezcal 5 Pack mixed per directions into a solution and put into the machine's water reservoir. I ran the machine a couple times through with the cleaning solution, rinsed out the reservoir, and repeated the process with normal water to finish the job. There wasn't much for visible gunk dispensed - maybe the solution was a bit more cloudy on the way out. I'm happy with the results, and the machine now sits in my shared office producing great tasting coffee for the masses. As a price-related aside - you can find these two products packaged together on Amazon sometimes. I went ahead and bought them separately as it was a better value at the time; I received this cleaning disc along with the 5 pack of Dezcal for less than a bundle that only included the disc and a 2 pack of Dezcal. This is a perfect product if it fits your Tassimo machine. There do appear to be multiple designs available, so make sure that this is the one that will fit your machine!

Not much to really review here, as it's just one of those items that works or doesn't. I lost my original yellow cleaning disc (I stupidly threw it out when I got my Tassimo, thinking it was just more of that extraneous packaging you run into with some of the more fragile, expensive devices/products), so when the inevitable red cleaning light came on the machine, I found I was without a critical part when it comes to descaling a Tassimo... Anyway, this disc worked just fine as a replacement for my..."misplaced" disc. :)

This device is required to "clean" the Tassimo machine. One can download an image of a bar code online and turn a used T-disc into a cleaning disc - but for a few bucks, I went ahead and bought this. Can also be used to make just hot water for tea or other drinks. But I can't convince my wife to use it - she still makes hot water the old fashioned way - no, not with sticks, flint, and fire - but with our little Hotshot one cup water heater.

I hated to pay $10 for this but it was cheap considering that a friend gave me the Tassimo. I mixed up a batch of Brewrite (save $$ and get it at Walmart) which is amazing stuff for cleaning coffee makers. Add the solution to the reservoir but be careful to stop before any undissolved crystals get into the reservoir. This cleaning process takes a good deal of time because you have to brew individual cups until the solution has gone through the Tassimo. Then you have to run 3 or 4 reservoirs of water to through to thoroughly flush the machine.

This is a very simple piece of plastic. Your Tassimo should have included one and you only need to purchase this if looking for a replacement. You can use this over and over. Essentially it is a place holder for where a T-Disc would go and it has a barcode that instructs your Tassimo on what to do...pump hot water through the system. Again, once you have this disk, it can be used over and over.

buy one because sooner or later you will loose the one that came with the original unit, I thought I knew where mine was until I went to use it ... well lets say that something is NEVER lost it is only is a place when you can't find it ... yea right ... nothing worse (actually there is) that wanting to clean the unit but not being able to because the cleaning disc can be found. Regular cleaning in an important fact to producing a consistent brew. EXTRA benefit if you "clean" twice, you wind up with a perfectly heated cup of hot water, not a pot, not a thermos, BUT a CLEAN, HOT, CUP of water, that is a hidden benefit. You do do lots of this with that clean, hot, cup of water. OK you set your imagination loose on that one.

Ok, it is a pretty ugly green color which has no bearing on anything coffee related. With it in place hot water does flow through the unit. Pretty dumb that one must have a bar code and pay good money just to clean out their Tassimo unit.

T-Disc per macchine Bosch/Tassimo. Articolo originale, indispensabile per eseguire la decalcificazione periodica (ogni 400 caffè circa, a seconda della durezza dell'acqua). Compatibile con la mia macchina Vivy 2 e solo con macchine Tassimo. Quando la spia del calcare (quella con l'immagine dello spruzzo) resta accesa significa che bisogna decalcificare. In realtà, potrete fare un'altra decina di caffè senza che si blocchi, ma è consigliabile decalcificare al più presto per non rovinare gli interni. Basterà riempire lo scomparto dell'acqua con una soluzione decalcificante (io ho usato 2 parti d'acqua e 1 di acido citrico), mettere il T-Disc al posto della capsula del caffè, tenere premuto il primo tasto (quello con il disegno della tazza) per 10 secondi e la macchina inizierà il programma di pulizia. Il programma durerà circa 30 minuti e la macchina farà tutto da sola. Assicuratevi soltanto di mettere un contenitore da almeno 500ml sotto al getto, perché consumerà tutta l'acqua. Alla fine del programma bisognerà lavare bene lo scomparto dell'acqua, riempirlo con acqua pulita e fare almeno 4-5 caffè a vuoto (con il T-Disc inserito) e la vostra macchina tornerà come nuova. Avevo perso il T-Disc venduto in dotazione con la macchina. La macchina Vivy 2 non mi sembra abbia una slot posteriore per conservare il T-Disc, io lo tengo infondo al cassetto porta capsule.

it's a standard Tasimmo cleaning disc, which is available for less than half the price abroad. Perhaps it is more expensive in India as it has to be imported!!

Es lo que ves, un plástico amarillo con un código, no es el original pero seguro que viene de china igualmente, funciona perfectamente !! Si has perdido tu disco lo necesitarás en algún momento para descalcificar !!!

J'ai reçu le produit plus vite que prévu, effectivement sans emballage directement dans l'enveloppe. Je l'ai donc lavé puis utilisé pour le nettoyage de ma tassimo vivy 2 de Bosch. Après plusieurs utilisations le voyant était toujours rouge alors après quelques rapides recherches mon mari a découvert qu'il fallait en fait détartrer la machine. Il a trouvé les instructions sur un site internet et ça y est plus de voyant rouge alors merci beaucoup surtout à ce prix !
