Awesome stuff.
Homeland is an intense, interesting, suspenseful epic from start to finish. If you enjoyed the first season, be assured that the themes and tone of the second run mainly in parallel with the first and the show has not lost any momentum over the transition. The plot develops significantly with regard to Brodie, however, which adds a dynamic new dimension to the mix, leaving you wondering, as ever, just how trustworthy some people are. Gritty, entertaining and dramatic; I would readily recommend this product.

Second outing for Danes, Lewis and Co
The first series of Homeland was excellent and was thoroughly a suspense thriller throughout the entire run of episodes. The second series is just as good but it seems to lack the suspense and novelty of the preceding run. Claire Danes and Damian Lewis are back again in their roles - both excelling in their capabilities as actors. British actor Lewis is also surrounded by a couple of other Brits, David Harewood and newcomer to the series Rupert Friend playing analyst Peter Quinn. Friend is a very good addition to the show and his US accent is 100% perfect. We see alot of Brody's daughter and her entanglements in this series, something I felt was simply there to fill in the episodes. Mandy Patinkin is fantastic as Saul and Morena Baccarin utterly convincing as Brody's wife. Well worth a watch!

Seriously good and engrossing
I had heard about Homeland from the press but had never watched it on TV. Then I decided to buy the box set of series 1 and became hooked on it. Gripping, well acted, and excellent story lines. I have now pre-ordered the second series so that I am up to speed before series 3 starts on TV in October 2013. Claire Danes and Damian Lewis are great as the CIA operative and the ex POW US Sergeant. One of the best series I have seen.

One of the best shows ever made.
If you like politics, action, and a mostly realistic representation of those things in the spy world, this is a must buy, the entire show is fantastic, amazing cast too.

The plot is great, the whole concept is great
It might be that the CIA agents are acting in real life as shown here, but if they do, it's a wonder they have ANY successes at all. The plot is great, the whole concept is great, but the agent Mathison character is doing one silly thing after the next. Not to say that the Islamic cell is not making mistakes - boy, it is. On the whole, while I watched season 1 in one go and loved it, season 2 is merely OK, the writers managed to kill season 2 with a total and utter lack of logic in the characters' behaviours. Don't want to include spoilers here, but dear Lord... it was painful at times.

WAITING FOR IT !
I have seen this on TV . I also saw the first series and my G'daughter bought it for me as a Xmas present. What can I say about - Homeland ? Excellent, brilliant etc; I am completely hooked on it. Damien Lewis - Brilliant (and British) Claire Danes - Brilliant. In fact everyone acting in the series is brilliant. Damien and Claire deserved the awards they won for best actor and actress. I have used my £20 Xmas voucher from my daughter as part of payment for this 2nd series. Roll on September when I should obtain it from Amazon

what a fantastic series. It is like watching the greatest, suspenseful, intriguing, genius acting , I can't say enough for this series. I have purchase series one and the complete second season, I can't wait for the series to be sent. And then I will want to purchase series 4. I have always had a spot for the military, what they must have gone through, what they must have suffered. Damien Lewis is so great you can almost feel the anguish he is going through. Carrie when she touches his face you can just feel the empathy and love she has for him. I would recommend this series to anyone.
