Fastest delivery and large salad spinner
The media could not be loaded. I literally purchased this at 1am UK time and it was delivered by 7am. Literally can’t fault that speedy delivery. It doesn’t come wrapped in normal Amazon packaging just the product box, so if it’s a wedding gift or something similar that’s not ideal. The actual salad spinner is large, light weight and was well protected within its internal packaging. It takes two hands to undo the lock mechanism, otherwise I love the large size and it’s an easy one handed action to pump the handle to spin the bowl within. The added brake feature is fantastic for the impatient amongst us.I spend the afternoon washing salad, and fruits and using the spinner.Brilliant piece of kit for the kitchen and ideal for all the summer salads! Highly recommend.

Stylish, Sturdy, Compact, Handy
The media could not be loaded. I created a video of the unboxing and I run it quickly (without salad), just to show up mechanism and working principle. The bowl is made of thick glass, the rest is plastic. In short:• Stylish: Having the bowl in thick glass, when compared to the cheap salad spinners (plastic made), this looks way nicer. The mechanism is well-engineered and clean; you push and it spins. No antiaesthetic wheel mechanism.• Sturdy: The bowl is in thick glass, and if you do not drop it, it lasts forever. Generally, cheap plastic bowls tend to crack over time.• Compact: The mechanism can be packed and locked, in order to reduce the overall volume. In this way, it keeps less storage space.• Handy: You can spin the salad first, you can quickly throw out the water from the bowl, dry it and you can use the very same bowl to serve the salad. Hence you don't have two bowls to wash in the end.

Good product
Good easy to use product. Spinning and stopping feature works very well. It does not take a lot of lettuce at once but easy to work around that fact.Sturdy bowl and lid fits well when closing and storing

Awesome Device
I purchased this to entice me to remove the salad from the pre-washed packets to rinse in water - it really does increase the longevity of the salad.I bought the smaller one of the two based on previews amazon reviewers recommendations and the size is perfect based on a standard sized salad package you get from the supermarkets. I've attached a picture of the size I used. The product's mechanism is akin to an old fashioned toy tin spinning top. With the right timing, you can really crank it up and get some speed to dispel the water. The bottom of the basin has got good grip to give you some purchase. The whole thing is easy to clean/rinse and the the top spinning part comes apart to remove some of the smaller bits of salad that may get caught in the mechanism. The part that you push down to engage the spinning process collapses in and sits flush with the lid of the device meaning that it can stored easily in the fridge without taking up too much room. It's really a nice thought through product and a washed salad does last a lot longer. One last comment - some reviewers have broken the mechanism and although I don't personally think it feels fragile, like the old toy spinning top, timing is everything.

Perfect for salads
I brought the large size for my mum. She was very happy with it as it was more sturdy and had thicker plastic than her old one.

Works well
Small/mini salad spinner. This is a good size for one or two people. Good for washing the lettuce in the bowl drain, pop the leaves in the basket, put the basket back in the bowl and spin away. I usually open it and move the leaves around and respin a couple of times. This doesn't spin majorly fast, but it's enough to dry the leaves off. I then strain the bowl, add the other salad bits then cover it with a silicon lid ready for later. Stores easily in the fridge. Lid pulls apart for easy cleaning, all parts just need a quick wipe over in warm soapy water. I wouldn't put the bowl or basket in the dishwasher as I would imagine it would end up going cloudy with the harsh detergents.

My Favourite Kitchen Tool
My favourite kitchen tool that fundamentally changed how I approach washing, preparing, and storing greens. It was originally recommended to me by a close family friend who works as a chef and swears by it in both home and professional kitchens. At first, I was sceptical. I had used salad spinners before, and they always felt like gimmicky gadgets that took up too much space. But after integrating the OXO spinner into my regular meal prep routine, I quickly realised how much time, water, and frustration it saved. One of the first things that stood out was how it completely transformed the rhythm of kitchen prep. Before owning this spinner, rinsing greens meant soggy leaves sitting on a colander, or worse, clumps of damp lettuce ruining a well-composed salad. The OXO spinner eliminated this issue by allowing me to wash and dry greens in one seamless operation. Its one-handed pump design is efficient and surprisingly fun to use. The button creates strong centrifugal force that spins the inner basket, pushing water out of the leaves and into the outer bowl, leaving everything crisp and ready to eat or store.Durability and material quality are a big part of the story here. The OXO spinner is made from BPA-free plastic that feels robust and impact-resistant. The base features a non-slip ring that holds firm to the countertop even when spinning at full speed. The lid is cleverly designed with internal gears protected from moisture, and it pops apart for easy cleaning—a feature that most other salad spinners lack. After months of daily use, my spinner shows virtually no signs of wear. It’s the kind of product you can rely on for years. The transparent outer bowl is another highlight. Unlike opaque versions from other brands, the clear design lets you monitor how clean your greens are or how much water has collected during spinning. It also doubles as a stylish serving bowl for salads. After rinsing, I often leave the greens in the bowl, pop the lid back on, and store it directly in the fridge. This simplifies kitchen logistics and reduces the need for transferring food between containers. What truly elevates the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner is its versatility across food types. Beyond lettuce, I’ve used it successfully with kale, spinach, herbs, spring onions, and even chopped vegetables like celery and cucumber. It works beautifully for washing grapes and berries, provided you’re gentle with the spinning. The basket itself can be used as a standalone colander for rinsing produce at the sink. This spinner has become my go-to tool for prepping ingredients for stir-fries. Washing bok choy, cabbage, and bean sprouts has never been easier. After a quick spin, they’re ready to go into the wok without excess water causing splatter. The rapid drying effect also helps marinades cling better to leafy ingredients, which has improved the overall flavour of many dishes. If you’re a fan of herbs, the spinner is ideal for prepping parsley, cilantro, dill, and basil. Instead of blotting bunches of wet herbs with kitchen towels, you can simply toss them in the spinner, give a few pumps, and enjoy dry, fluffier greens that last longer in storage. It’s also fantastic for those who grow their own produce—washing garden-fresh greens has never been more efficient. For those into food photography or content creation, this product helps maintain the visual appeal of greens by preventing bruising or wilting that can happen with manual drying. Clean, crisp leaves not only taste better but also look better on camera. One unexpected use is for drying pasta. After boiling and rinsing cold pasta for salads, a quick whirl in the spinner helps remove excess moisture, preventing diluted dressings and soggy textures. It’s equally handy for prepping chopped leeks and spring onions after a good rinse to eliminate dirt.Parents will appreciate how much easier this makes meal prep for picky eaters. Kids tend to reject limp, wet salads, but crisp, dry leaves tossed with their favourite toppings are far more appealing. The spinner’s ease of use means older children can even help prepare meals, making it a great educational tool for introducing kitchen tasks.I’ve used it to rinse and spin soaked nuts and seeds for raw recipes and sprouting. It’s even useful for draining rinsed quinoa or lentils after soaking. The basket mesh is fine enough to prevent small grains from escaping, unlike traditional colanders.Fitness enthusiasts and meal preppers will appreciate the speed it brings to batch-cooking. You can process a week’s worth of greens in minutes—rinse, spin, and store. For anyone following a plant-heavy or raw diet, this spinner quickly becomes indispensable. It’s also incredibly helpful during holidays and dinner parties. When preparing large quantities of salad, the OXO spinner saves space and time, keeping greens fresh and dry until ready to serve. Its large capacity accommodates bulk prep, and it stores compactly thanks to the flat-locking lid mechanism. One of my favourite personal uses is prepping microgreens. They’re delicate and difficult to handle, but the gentle, even force of the OXO spinner dries them without damaging the fragile stems and leaves. This results in longer-lasting freshness and better presentation.I’ve used it for washing bean sprouts and draining canned beans. Even tofu, after a quick cube and rinse, benefits from a spin to reduce excess moisture before frying. It’s even great for spinning water off grated potatoes for crispy hash browns or latkes.Another clever use is rinsing and drying reusable produce bags. After a market trip, I empty the greens, toss the bags in the spinner, and they’re dry in minutes—saving space and reducing laundry. In baking, I’ve spun washed and drained fresh berries for muffin batter, ensuring the batter stays firm and not waterlogged. It’s also been helpful when prepping herbs for compound butters and pestos—dry herbs chop better and blend smoother. For fermenting enthusiasts, the OXO spinner is a great prep tool. Before brining vegetables like cabbage or carrots for kimchi or sauerkraut, it ensures that produce is thoroughly clean and dry for better fermentation outcomes. It’s also helpful in pet care. After giving leafy greens to small pets like rabbits or guinea pigs, the spinner can be used to wash and dry the leaves, reducing wet messes and improving freshness.Even florists or plant hobbyists can benefit. After cutting herbs or flowers, a spin helps remove water from stems before arranging, prolonging the freshness of home floral displays.Campers and van-lifers have found creative uses for it too. In limited spaces where drying racks are unavailable, the spinner doubles as a compact washing and drying tool for kitchen towels or delicate clothing items. It's amazing!
