Decent quality
Waiting until warmer weather eventually arrives before fitting surround. People have mentioned edges being fairly Sharpe on the back edge, just take plenty of time, NO RUSHING! whilst fitting. Easier said than done, I know! but just avoid contact with fingers too much along the back edge and try not to slide them across either and all will be fine. Wear some strong but not too thick safety gloves to make maneuverabilitynot too awkward as a precaution if need be.

Looks classy
As other people have said, the edges are very sharp and had to be filed.Very easy to fit and looks classy, even the main dealer said it finishes off the car very well

Tough stainless steel
The holes didn’t line up on my car so had to use hss drill bit and a rat tail file. Took about an hour but looks very smart.

Sharp and shiny
Number plate surrounds aren't always quite what they seem, and there are plenty of cheap 'metal' ones that are actually chromed plastic: trouble is, they tend to gradually degrade when exposed to heat, cold, sunshine and rain. This Richbrook version is the genuine article (stainless steel) and should last indefinitely. The edges on mine were really sharp, so I smoothed them off carefully with some wet-and-dry abrasive paper - but not before I'd accidentally cut my finger, so do take care! I also succeeded in forming the surround to the gentle curve needed to mount it successfully on my car - it's not too thick to bend a little, and seems to hold it's shape afterwards. The mirror finish is superb on all the bits that show, and provides a classy finishing touch to any well-presented vehicle. I think these look especially good on a classic car that already has some chrome or stainless steel exterior trim.Overall an excellent product, marked down from five stars only because of those sharp edges...

Disappointed
I’ve attached a few number plate holders on different cars. These were by far the worst. At the back edge of the surround it’s so sharp I cut myself twice, and the sticky pads are useless my number plate came unstuck the following day. Overall dangerous and a waste of money, and money I can’t afford to waste. Have ordered 2 more different number plate holders. Can’t possibly be as bad as these. I do NOT recommend, unless you want to cut yourself and waste your money.

Easy to fit and still look brilliant 5.5 YEARS LATER
UPDATE: September 20225.5 years later... originally fitted in April 2017 and I've just removed these to put on my new car because they are still as good as new! They're not cheap, but these number plate surrounds genuinely are superb quality.Pros and consExpensive if you want surrounds for front and back number plates (make sure you buy TWO items) however totally worth it if you want to show off a fancy private plate that you've already spilled a load of cash on...FittingThe surrounds are pre-drilled (plenty of options) which is super if they match up with the holes already on your vehicle. If not, and you're not confident messing on with that kind of thing, Pearl Automotive PDST02 18mm x 5m Double Sided Tape will securely stick your plate to the surround and the surround to your car, but most importantly this stuff endures everything the British weather can throw at it (even a sunny day) which is awesome.AdviceMetal number plate surrounds can scratch your paintwork if you're not careful so put something like low-tack masking tape over any sharp edges or on your bumper just while you measure up and sort out the positioning.MaintenanceOnce they're on, keep them clean and your stainless steel finish should stay nice and shiny indefinitely; give them an extra wipe if there's been salt on the roads but other than that, just wash them regularly with your car and congratulate yourself on how majestic your vehicle now looks.
