Plamil Egg Free Mayonnaise Plain 315 g (Pack of 6)

Been buying this since 2005 ish...when it was made from pea protein... For me... Its THE best vegan mayo around... Can't say I've tried every one on the market but quite a few .. and they range from making me gag to being one stage away from the texture of plastic... I try to avoid lookin for direct replacements.... It just doesn't work.. but this product works on every level I've tried.... It gets a double yummy from me EVERYTIME.

I can't really comment on the eating experience as I haven't eaten it for a long time (my son's the one who eats it), but I seem to remember that it felt quite greasy on the tongue and tasted acidic. My problem with it is that we've had a few jars in about the last year where the lid doesn't seem to be sealed properly and the top of the mayonnaise looks 'iffy'. The last jar this happened with there was some kind of brown stuff on the mayonnaise, maybe corrosion or something from the lid? Not sure. The mayonnaise seemed to smell ok. The small paper seal on the lid was also broken. I wouldn't give that jar any stars of course but my son seems to love the mayonnaise so am giving an overall three-star rating.

I like this better than the egg mayonnaise - the taste, the thickness is all better.

Yummy and perfect although I am not allergic to eggs I have crohns so my friend who cannot eat eggs have been having everything with this!

Yes its a bit on the vinegary side, but its still the best alternative. The stuff in the supermarket tastes like pus. At least by ordering six bottles at a time, im always stocked with this lovely egg free mayo.

It's difficult to find a sugar free mayo so that's actually the reason I get this one, not because it's egg free, it's decent mayo but for what it is (check the ingredient list) i think the price is greedy, and I think it's really unfortunate so many companies stick a high price tag on vegan or healthier products because they know people have less choice, that's the reason I'm dropping 3 stars, otherwise the product is fine

This is the best mayo ever - never mind it's vegan. Better than Hellemans and any eggy mayo you might have had before. It is delicious. Makes great coleslaw and potato salad. Also tried the garlic flavoured version and that's good too.

Excellent vegan mayonnaise. Some may find the taste a little sharp, in comparison to standard mayonnaise but I like it. Keeps well in the cupboard/fridge.
