I am waiting for Braun to tell of the me ...
I am waiting for Braun to tell of the me how to earth it. It came with a 2 pin continental plug plus an adapter for a UK 13 A socket. But the earth of the continental plug does not connect to the earth of the adapter. Consequently the chassis of the toaster is not earthed if it is plugged in. This is a very dangerous situation. It is not double insulated so must be earthed. To use it would be dangerous and illegal unless I cut off the plug and fit my own 13 A plug. But doing so would invalidate the guarantee.
