is this sitable to use on indoor gas hobs? I have a 5 ring top with a wok ring in the middle.

No problem, recommend you employ two rings but not the wok to give even temp distribution. Be away when cooking fatty foods the spitting can make quite a mess on the Hob. You can use a splash guard to minimise the mess. Great for cooking burgers.
