Any compatability issues with msi mpg z790 carbon wifi gaming motherboard? thx

No compat issues whatsoever. I’m not over clocking, though. Running windows 11 and so far it’s been super stable.

Will these work in an amd 7950x system?

They do, but I haven't been able to get the motherboard's default overclocking (AMD Expo) to work with them. The G.Skill Trident Z5 neo RGB with AMD Expo seem to work properly out of the box. FWIW they do work, they do fit in an X670E motherboard.

I currently have 16x2 of the same brand and frequency. if i add this to my ram pool it would give me 96gb. would this combination work?

That ***may*** work, but you would most likely have system instabilities and will need to ease your timings down to DDR5-4800 just to achieve system stability. I suggest you go 2x32GB ram and sell your older 2x16gb kit
