You'll actually love shaving...
Having a few tubs of Taylor of bond Street in my collection this is another beautiful shaving cream.. I also have the sandalwood and the coconut one.... I like them all they are absolutely without a doubt high end premium quality... I've bought other shaving brand creams for more than double the price which I regretted as the Taylor ones are miles ahead in every way.. From scent to quality of the cream and shave you get... Please gentleman you must try one of these creams no matter what razors you use be it the cartridge ones or the DE razor which I have switched to.... You'll actually love shaving prior to these creams a brush and bowl and de razor shaving was a chore I didn't look forward to or like... Its not actually a pleasure to shave... The creams also last absolutely ages as you only need a tiny amount for enough lather for three passes.... If you going for the silky smooth shave.... I honestly believe every man should try a tub... You have no idea what you're missing out on I wish I had discovered these years ago instead of using the crap you buy from supermarkets....

Impressed
I've used Proraso and Tabac shave soap and this is so much nicer l only have to dip the brush 2mm into the cream and start to face lather to get great results The smell is pleasant (hard to describe but lemon/lime/fruit salad) but does not last post shave Slickness and shave quality is superb Just an aside the pot was not boxed or clingfilmed, what you see in the picture is how it arrived in the Amazon box

Floral, to say the least!
As a convert to Mr Taylor's Jermyn Street scent, marked by its pleasant subtlety, the Eton confection may be a startling change, but none the worse for it. It makes for a good duo at shaving time - let your mood dictate your preference. The Eton College is more perfumed by some way, so it may take a little getting used to, but it is, as a florist might say, a grower. I like it a lot, and am more than happy to use the two in tandem.

I'm not an old Etonian but I would have loved to have had a shave there.
I have been using TOBS shaving creams for six months. I curently have a selection of four, Mr Taylors, Sandalwood, Rose and Eton College. My first choice used to be the Sandalwood but now the Eton college is my favourite. I have the matching aftershave and cologne. Unlike the Sandalwood (which is a close second) the fragrance is more complex with a nice mix of lemon and leather. The shave lather is beautiful and a DE razor with a sharp blade glides over the face and gives an amazing shave. I am still on my first bowl of the cream as I need to only dip my shaving brush into the bowl a couple of time to load up enough to give me enough lather for three passes plus a clean up. Will be ordering more as soon as I get close to the bottom of my current bowl.

Another beautiful shaving cream from Taylor of Old Bond Street.
I have used the Sandalwood by Taylor of Old Bond Street for many years as it is wonderful, so I thought I'd try the Eton College too. It has the same fabulous rich creamy lather....a total joy to shave with. The scent is difficult to put a handle on....I get a mild citrus scent but in no way is it dominant. It's a very unusual scent....it smells like an old school barber's shop shaving cream....classic and refined and understated. It's a mix of coconut and limonene according to the description. It's very nice, and will compliment a lot of shaving lotions and eau de toilette. This range of products by Taylor are the best on the market in my opinion.....sublime scents and luxurious lathers. I completely love them and can't imagine ever wanting another brand.

My favourite of the TOBS creams
Consistency - practically the same as the other TOBS creams (like squirty cream to the uninitiated) Easy of loading - Simple. Being a cream, you just place it in your brush/bowl and get to work. Ease of lathering - regardless of method, the lather erupts. A little goes a long way. An almond size gets me 4 passes easily. Scent - Hard to explain as it's unlike anything i've encountered before but in a word - Citrus Performance - Very good cushion. Doesn't dissipate out. Seems to provide more slickness if applied using a face lather than bowl lathering. Either method creates great slickness - better that other TOBS creams I've used (ahem sandalwood, Jermyn St). Price - A bit pricey compared to other creams available but better value that Truefitt & Hill who, in my opinion, perform equally well Overall, my favourite of the TOBS creams. Seems to have a different (cleaner) ingredient list that other TOBS creams. A tub should last for a good 50 shaves. This will always be in my rotation.

It can be said I enjoy TOBS
I’ve been wet shaving all my life. Though I just called it “shaving”, and didn’t know there was any other way. Started as most do: Barbasol and a Mach 3. And I hated shaving. I’d go with a week of growth frequently. Shaving was something to be done as quickly as possible, a necessity of the male persuasion unworthy of thought. Then I discovered double-edge razors and have never looked back. A review of the scents from left to right follows: * Sandalwood: My first. Your first. When you hear about or are recommended TOBS, Sandalwood is almost always mentioned. As it’s name implies, it possesses a strong sandalwood scent which cannot be described. If you’ve smelled the wood, then you know. I won’t mess with a winning formula—if you can only get one, get Sandalwood and decide for yourself. * Tobacco Leaf: As an infrequent cigar and pipe smoker I was eager to try this. The smell of tobacco leaves is so unique, but is not present in large amounts here. Still pleased, as it’s best described as earthy smells which fellow smokers will love. If you’re thinking of cigarettes or an ashtray, get those obscene thoughts out of your head. Mild, mellow, and earthy. * Royal Forest: When I think of a forest, I don’t typically think of an apple orchard. Strongest scent here is Apple, and green/Granny Smith if I had to hazard a guess. Still slightly earthy, but “brighter” than Tobacco Leaf. Refreshing, crisp apple. * Rose: Some will ignore this and sorely miss out. My favorite scent bar none. If you’ve walked by rose bushes from afar and smelled the slight aroma as bees pollinate on a crisp spring morning you know the scent. The scent is slight. Some may enjoy that and not want to be buffeted by overpowering scents. Be forewarned though that some cannot smell it: one person I’ve asked said try as they might they get nothing but clean soap smell. In an environment of post-Covid anosmia, if you’ve trouble discerning scents you may have to skip it. Look to more powerful scents: Sandalwood or Cedarwood. * Peppermint: I’m a fan of a mentholated shave, especially in warmer months. I’ll go 100% cold some days, finishing with a mentholated rub. This is not like that. Don’t worry if you can’t take the cold, this is cool only. Focus on the peppermint. It smells like candy canes and is slightly cool only, making for a pleasant refreshing shave. Some have said it’s not strong enough. I believe they have expectations coming from highly mentholated creams or aftershaves. A solid player in the lineup for warmer months. * Cedarwood: Strong cedar scent, but still less strong than Sandalwood. Love refreshing wood smells, they’re really great for guys and give a great experience when lathering under the nose. * Eton College: Think citrus. Bright and smelling of citrus fruit. Scent is medium bodied. I cannot discern one specific type of citrus fruit. It’s not orange exactly, but also isn’t lemon or lime. It is, however, refreshing. * Platinum: I wanted to love this. Alas, it has no real scent to speak of other than clean or soapy. It’s claim to fame is it’s slickness, and I agree it does lather up to be slicker than the aforementioned, but only just. Combine that with a very mild scent with no discerning qualities and those looking for something out of the ordinary should look elsewhere. It is much softer than any of the other scents. It’s an ok soap on par with the rest, but not enough to justify $25+, when as of this writing many can be had for $17. You are in this case paying extra and getting nothing. And trust me that wasn’t a fun realization, knowing I’d just spent more on a cream that I personally like less than all the others. Part of the fun of this all is trying new things. New creams, preshaves, soaps, brushes, razors, razor blades, techniques, and aftershaves make for an infinite number of shaves. I haven’t mentioned latherability, and that’s because they’re all great. Load a brush conservatively and 150g will last a long time. Scents don’t linger very long, giving way to the aftershave’s scent and not intruding.

Si aprovechas alguna oferta, no salen tan caros.
