This stunning and brave 19th season of South park follow a serialized model for the first time in the show's history. The season is built around an extended satire of political correctness beginning when a new socially conscious principal comes to town. In other episodes, Mr. Garrison makes a bid for the White House, Randy takes the lead in gentrifying the town, and everyone is looking for their safe space

The Principal of PC
A two disc dvd box set containing all ten episodes of the nineteenth season of cult cartoon South Park. All episodes run twenty one minutes [approx].Season opener, 'Stunning and Brave' sets the scene for a season that is a little different to usual. Principal Victoria is gone. And replaced by PC Principal. Aggressive frat boy and fierce believer in political correctness. Woe bedite anyone who disrepects minorites around him. He can't believe this town that he is in, which is seemingly a relic of days gone by. And is determined to modernise thinking and attitudes there. Some begin to fall under his spell..This isn't the greatest of season openers. It's one of those episodes that is more clever than funny and will make you laugh occasionally, but smile more at how clever it is. So it's not a promising start. But it does begin a new direction for the show. It's not standalone anymore. They now experiment with serialisation, as most tv now does.Any doubts about season quality vanish with episode two 'where my country gone?' As the town takes in immigrants from Canada, Mr Garrison won't stand for what he sees to be infringing on his country. And thus begins a campaign that could go all the way. This is an hysterically funny episode, doing the Donald Trump thing [It was originally broadcast autumn 2015] a little differently to how people might have expected them to, and getting some very good satire in at the same time.Episode three 'the city part of town' continues the theme of modernising, as the town does up one area to become a cool new regenerated neighbourhood. And too bad for the Mccormicks who still live there. A fun episode with some fun fake commericals, which also shows South Park's strength for characterisation by allowing one character in particular a truly brilliant scene near the end that you won't forget in a hurry.Episode four 'you're not yelping' sees the restaurants of the town not wanting to displease the self important internet reviewers. Something ends up having to give. In typical south park style it all escalates in a clever and fun manner, and has some good things to say about certain attitudes.Episode five 'safe space' deals with shaming, as Butters ends up having to help celebrities and Cartman not have to face online abuse, and Randy is made to regret not giving to charity. Another that escalates well and in a fun way, and has a few good points to make once again.Episode six 'tweek x craig' sees more modernisation thanks to an art style called Yaoi [which you might not have heard of before but won't forget post this] make the town think it has a gay couple. Which comes as news to the two students in question. Meantime Cartman has to fend off some unwanted advances. The former is solid and fun character stuff with a look at attitudes, the latter very good over the top comedy.Episode seven 'naughty ninjas' looks at police shootings as officer Barbrady pays the price for modern attitudes to what the force does, and the kids trying to protect Kenny's neighbourhood leads to a big misunderstanding. The former ends up being, like episode three, something with a great amount of heart. The latter is a fun bit of humour with a great subplot for Cartman. And at this points the serialisation kicks in big time...Episode eight 'Sponsored content' sees Jimmy and Pc Principal clash over the school paper. Funny and with some clever things to say about people's principals versus reality, this is the start of a three parter.Episode nine 'truth and advertising' continues from the above as all plotlines come together and progress. It has a lot of fun moments but is perhaps too much of a middle episode.Although it all rallies superbly with episode ten 'Pc Principal final justice' which does bring everything together and wrap plotlines up, put a few things into good focus, and have a fun theme for the week as well that has some very good and funny moments. The ending does imply that serialisation and the modern world are here to stay with the series. Which works because this is a good season that tries something different and manages to succeed with it. So South Park keeps going strong. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English, German.Subtitles: English, Dutch, German.Extras are on disc one:Five minutes worth of deleted scenes, from episodes across the season. These can only be watched all in a row. One is slightly unfinished. But they're all pretty good and worth a look, especially the last one which does explain a slight plot hole.Trailer for new video game 'South Park; the fractured but whole.' Which runs for three minutes and is a fun watch. Also, instead of the usual mini commentaries on each episode, you get a whole season commentary. Which runs for twenty five minutes and is a fascinating listen, especially in what it tells you about the writing process.

Political Correctness comes to South Park.
Political Correctness comes to South Park, and it is still very funny. What a pity that it don't contains anything in Spanish.
