Fast and Reliable, But Needs Setup Tweaks First
I honestly love this desktop—it’s fast, runs smoothly, and Windows 10 Pro works great. When I first turned it on, it went straight to the “blue screen of death,” but there was an option to skip and boot Windows anyway. I clicked it and it started up just fine, no problems since. The only real issue I had was the WiFi—it wouldn’t connect no matter what I tried. I troubleshooted through Network Settings and Device Manager, but still no luck. I ended up using an Ethernet cable I already had, and that worked perfectly. If you depend on WiFi only, be prepared to troubleshoot or use a workaround. To get the best performance right away, I recommend:• Going to Settings > System > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings, then choosing High Performance mode.• Then, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install all updates. After those two quick tweaks, this PC runs like a dream. Definitely worth it if you’re comfortable with a little setup work!

Value computer with great customer service
I purchased this computer after my laptop died a few months ago. It’s a great little upper mid grade starter PC but keep in perspective that it is an office grade PC repurposed for gaming use. The graphics card in it is a bit outdated, but the space provided in the case makes switching it out simple. The build itself on the inside is so well organized! Also, the storage gets a little crowded if you’re downloading games but they leave you a port to easily plug in extended storage, which was nice of them to do for us so we don’t have to worry with creating a space or messing around with wires. The peripherals that came with the computer are also fine. The monitor is decent in quality. Plenty big enough for a smaller desk setup. The keyboard and mouse I did not use because I had better quality ones already but I passed them down to my teenager and they’re really not bad. The headphones that came with it really left something to be desired though. I am not a large framed woman, I regularly use children’s headsets without trouble and this one was not comfortable for me. If you’re a larger person definitely purchase a separate headset for your own comfort. The WiFi dongle was included and pre-installed. The RGB panel is an add on, but it is pretty and I like that I can choose to not have it on at all. I use this computer every day for extended periods of time and not once have I ever had an issue with it until last week when the power supply stopped working (even though it was always plugged into a surge protector with grounding so it wasn’t a user issue). In my personal opinion the 60W power supply is immensely under rated for this unit so that may be something you want to know. It’s a bit disappointing because it wouldn’t have added much to the price to use a higher rated power supply that suited better for everything this unit has going on but again, I try to keep in perspective that this is a repurposed unit. I emailed the company on the service sticker and they got back to me within minutes and had me trouble shoot it myself first. They sent me very detailed instructions, which I really appreciated. When those didn’t work they did not hesitate to honor the warranty. It was such a smooth process and only took a week total to get me a new unit sent out. You’re really getting bang for your buck with this computer, even if it isn’t the best one around it is probably the best one at this particular price point. Also, you can’t put a price tag on their customer service because that alone was such a pleasant surprise.

A tremendous bargain
These del 7050 renewed computers are a great bargain. They were originally sold as industrial and office machines and are about 6 years old. They were 5 to 10 times the price when they were new, real top of the line machines. But in the industry market 6 years is forever and they were replaced with newer better machines. They are still Very powerful computers for home use, better than my 3 yr old fancy gaming machine in all but graphics and not bad in graphics either.Of course the hard drives were destroyed when they were retired, and they never had internal WiFi, but the refurbisher has replaced the missing hard drives with a good large (1TB) SSD and included a small new USB WiFi module. They also come with a new USB keyboard and mouse. An unlisted bonus was a good CD / DVD RW drive. I don't use DVDs any more but it is good to have one in the house for legacy media. The refurbished unit was in spotless perfect like new condition. My wife's 15 year old Dell computer finally died a few days ago (pwr sup.) and at that age I felt it was not worth repairing. This replacement has twice the file space and several times the speed for 1/2 the price.I was able to salvage the old hard drive and clone it to a USB memory.Macrium Reflect is a great backup and transfer program, even the free version.I wiped the new machines drive and put in the clone and my wife has all of her files and programs and settings back!Happy Wife, Happy Life!Note on the USB WiFI Dongle: It works quite well after it is installed and set up but it is tricky to install. The newly cloned operating system misrecognized it as a storage device rather than a network adapter. If you attempt to read this storage device it automatically installs the proper driver and then works and is recognized properly.

Impressive Computer
I bought two of these renewed computers; one for my wife and one for a close friend of ours. Their needs were simple,ie, check email, play dvd's, play some simple games and view youtube videos. These computers perform all that excellently. They also easily hooked up to the wireless printer with no problem. The sound is great. The speed is terrific. All the parts seem to work (I recently bought a brand new computer whose dvd and two usb ports didn't work). I give these computers the highest rating. The packing was top notch, very well protected. Delivery was on schedule. I highly recommend the Dell Optiplex 7050 renewed computer.

Perfect beginner PC!!
Very good starter PC. Our 14 year old loves it! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it didn't come with the cord to connect the monitor to the computer. The installation was very easy. The mouse and keyboard work great. It even came with an rbg mousepad. It also comes with a magnetic remote for the rbg lights on the tower. It's small and compact. And works for gaming as well too. I'm very happy with this purchase!
