Leifheit Wall-Mounted Clothes Dryer Telegant 36 Protect Plus, 3.6 m Drying Length

I chose this towel rail because I had space problems - small rooms, lots of furniture. It was an excellent choice! It works very well, and my house looks more organized, now. It also looks good, although a bit fragile (I will be careful and hope it lasts years). Update (27 Mar 2019): Rectifying what I wrote above, this clothes dryer is very sturdy and durable! It is now 5 years old and it seems that it will last forever (I bought two more for my daughter and upstairs)! Additionally, I thought about its 'flimsiness' and concluded that it is what explains its sturdiness, like the flexible palm trees that resist cyclones (I have a degree in architectural engineering). Great design!

Never know what to expect with these sorts of "home solutions" as they can be hit and miss, this is actually pretty good. I did use some heftier wall plugs/screws than those provided just to ensure the weight of wet clothes could be supported and so far so good, it's solid. Ok the plastic could be a little better quality but overall it's a clever design that is easy to open/put away quickly, plus it holds a surprising amount of clothes on it. The best part is when not in use my kitchen now has far more space as the clothes airer I was using was far more hassle to put up/down, and it folds away into an unobtrusive fitting on the wall. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for an alternative to the traditional clothes airer, can't go wrong!

Perfect for hanging shirts to dry and then when using a handheld steamer to iron. Sturdy and does the job well.

I love this foldaway clothes airer, once it’s used I know how to fold it away and open it. At first it can be a bit tight as you open it and put it away, as it looks it could break if you force it a bit to hard. I bought three, two with the bar underneath and the other without it. It looks very neat, I just managed to mount it on the wall and I just hope it last. So far so good, enough for my clothes.

Just what I needed for a solution as clothes horses haven't lasted long. Easy to install, out of the way of children, I have it in the space where my dryer is with a dehumidifier, clothes are drying quick and don't smell damp, very happy. Folds away neatly, already visitors have asked where I got it. I had the larger one with towel rail and is wider than I thought it would be, love everything about it.

Was looking for something compact and functional for utility, to hang up the MANY baby aprons and cloths and tea towels that we now end up washing every few days. Before I had hangers all over the place on random doors or the oven or backs of chairs. Now it's all nicely contained hanging above the washing machine and packs down to nothing when not using it. Handy having a towel rail too as we have a small sink . I've not overloaded it with heavy things but it seems really nice quality and easy to use.

I used to have a concertina type dryer in my utility room, however this required constant moving about in order to get in and out of other appliances as it took up so much room. When I unpacked the Telegant I thought it looked very flimsy however this is not the case. The rails are solid although flexible and the drying space is surprisingly large. It is quite stylish even when it is in its extended position. I particularly like that when it is not in use I can fold it away quickly and simply and it is very unobtrusive. It only requires two screws and is easily fitted to the wall. I would have thought if you lived in a flat it would be a 'must buy'.

Embarrasingly, this has to be one of my favourite possessions. I have it on the wall in my utility room and have used it for almost 2 years now with no signs of it weakening or deforming in any way. It comes with two screws which were absolutely too short for the job and my husband replaced them for some much longer, more robust ones. We have it screwed into an external wall. Other than that, I have found it a great size. I can hang a large man's t-shirt plus a smaller item e.g. a medium sized woman's skinny t-shirt on one section, so it can hold quite a lot. I tend to use it for bigger adult tops and other long items like dresses, but I avoid hanging heavy jeans on it. It could probably cope fine with them, but I feel like it make cause sagging with time, so I hang them elsewhere. I couldn't be happier with this item and love that it folds away against the wall so discreetly when not in use. You open out both arms and then pull out the rack. The arms extend 53cm from the base.

I'm in Toronto Canada. I installed this outdoors using blue screws designed for anchoring things in concrete. I intend to bring it indoors for the winter, as I will my garden hose and other warm season tools. I made a template with the side of the box it came with and a level to ensure perfect location of the screw holes. I recommend using a short handled screw driver to tighten the screws. It's replacing a freestanding outdoor rack I had to bring out and in, set up, weigh down and it still found ways to collapse and be underfoot. The Telegant 100 is conveniently located, always readily available, not underfoot, does not collapse in the wind when loaded and unfolds and folds up quickly and tidily. The drying rods are just over 2" apart when it's open, but the clothes seem to dry just as fast as they did on the larger rack. The towel bar is a nice touch. Useful for heavier items, just one towel and hanging the clothes pin bag. I have a large washing machine and I don't think it would take a full load from that. I've only used it for things like fine shirts and bathing suits that would fade or become shabby in a tumble dryer.

Review of the smaller, 28" model: This thing is great! It's so nice not to be tripping over or constantly moving drying racks, or dodging stuff on hangers hung on the shower rod. True, there is not tons of space between the rods, but it doesn't seem to take much longer to dry than when it's more spread out. The 70 model has five rods, so I have dried 5 long-sleeved shirts with room for some socks, or a few pairs of yoga pants and a couple of t-shirts. The picture I uploaded shows a shirt, 3 yoga pants, and several pairs of socks drying in harmony. As I must flip them over the rods, due to mounting height, I can only dry 2 pairs of jeans at a time. I have not used clothespins, but they would work on this. The rods are designed to have a little give, which does not mean they're flimsy. My walls are plaster lath, so installation was easy. In my opinion, the screws and mollys that came with it are sturdy enough. Having said that, I don't hang stuff to dry sopping wet - I fold and squeeze water out, then roll into a towel and lean on it with my knee (planning on getting a spinner eventually for my hand-washing). I wash my towels at the laundromat, thus haven't tried those on the Telefix yet, but I am so happy with this, I plan to get the 100 model which is 40" wide, and has 8 rods. If that works out, I may not need the drying racks at all, yay! Update: February, 2020 Five years later, and I still think it's great! I use it at least once a week and it looks and works as well as ever. I have also gotten a spin dryer for my hand-washing (centrifugal water extractor - no heat), and wow, no soppy towels from blotting, and things dry much faster! I got the Laundry Alternative Nina model and have been very happy with that as well.
