I absolutely love this charcoal paper pad! The texture has just the right amount of tooth to grab the charcoal without tearing or smudging too easily. It holds both soft and hard charcoal beautifully, and blending is super smooth. The sheets are thick and durable—no bleeding or warping even when I layer heavily or use fixative.

This paper is awesome, the texture creates little "rectangles" in the pattern than do 3 things: (a) the extruded bumps "catch" the medium so the texture helps to get charcoal, etc. on the paper, and (b) the impressed bumps make little "wells" that hold bits of charcoal so erasing can be done in stages (it doesn't all just lift up at once), and most importantly (c) the raised/lowered pattern creates a "maximum resolution" of detail so you don't get too lost in infinitely small details.. The pattern also helps to keep the image uniform, like a picture reduced to some max resolution on a computer. This helps to make everything "even" and prevents you from getting lost in tiny details, and even large areas tend to look "pixellated" at the same level. I'm attaching a picture of a dog portrait that shows how the pattern helps to create a photo-like appearance, from far back it looks like a real picture, and up close you can see the uniform sampling rate caused by the pattern. It's also just classy looking, like canvas...I only use this for special finished pieces, no sketching...I wish they made a gray version of the textured paper, but that's no big deal..

This probably one of. If not the best Charcoal Drawing papers available Hood weight and tough fibres, which means it can take a lot of rubbing and blending Cheers Kev Borg ❤️

very good quality paper. the texture is nice and makes drawing/sketching easy. very good value for money.

It's a nice paper, charcoal and pencil go down easily, pencil can be erased without trouble. But the texture is off putting, I don't enjoy drawing on it and won't buy this again. It will be used as practice paper as a result.

Buen papel para dibujar con carboncillo. Tiene un ligero “diente” o textura que hace que el carboncillo se adhiera fácilmente al papel y no se “resbale”. El grosor del papel es perfecto para carboncillo o lápiz, pero yo no lo usaría para tinta o cualquier otro medio húmedo.
