Worth it

The new ABRSM sightreading book is a must have for violin teachers and for pupils who are able to practise their reading at home. It's a big change from the old book and much more accessible for the children. My sightreading results have improved alot since this reorganisation of material, particularly makes grade 1 less stressful!!!

Great for violinists from beginner to intermediate. Great practice for ABRSM exams, however, you do not need it in the exam as the examiner will not test you from this sight reading book, but of another one!

Got my daughter these to practice for her Grade II exam - helped her get through this OK. Advice from teacher is also to practice sight reading ahead of level being sat, so that on the day the pieces seem (relatively) easy

This is very useful as it includes violin specimen sight reading from Grades1-5. Saves us the hassle of procuring many books. Gives exam candidate an idea of what to expect and prepare.

Exactly what the violin teacher requested. It is worth pointing out that this book has two different covers - with exact same material inside.

Sight reading can be the most tricky thing for a young child to master when preparing for exams. This book gives plenty of opportunities to practice for each grade utilising all the concepts required. Highly recommend.
