Learn to Play Go Volume 4: Battle Strategies

They have several series' available but this is one of the best. Illustrated, easily builds on one book from the next. I'm not familiar with anyone else at this point, I'm happy with this whole series of books, but it might help that the author is an American/English speaker first who then learned to play. It's a great game/hobby. There's a lot to it and manuals like this really do help

I purchased all 5 volumes in the series. They are imaginative, well written, artful diagrams; large print for easy reading; concepts are organized into small segments which helps avoid information overload; concepts are repeated which helps my learning; good quality paper and binding; photos of important players are of lesser quality, and I think the books would be better without the photos, except for the photos of the authors themselves.

good book about Go with some good ideas and concepts for improving your game.

An improvement over the third book, this book will improve your middle game. If you've been slowly making your way through this series, your middle game is what you will need help with. The last bit of the book gets a bit dense about life and death, but it's still approachable and valuable enough to go back to. Skip the third book, but don't miss this one.
