I love this pitcher so much. I was looking for a good thing to make iced tea in, and this really hits all the marks! First off, it's cute. I like the art on the side but if you don't like the art on the side you just kind of turn it around and it mainly looks like just a blank pitcher. It's also very functional. The handle is sturdy, the lid keeps it from spilling, and it is sturdy when sitting on a flat surface. I even had it out in the grass for a picnic and it was still pretty sturdy. The clear part of the lid keeps it from spilling when it's totally closed. Allows liquid but not tea leaves through when it is turned 90°, and allows access to adding in more tea leaves or water if it is completely removed. The black portion comes off for cleaning and has a detachable tea leaf filter portion. And I'm in love with this part, because the bottom also comes off so it is so easy to clean. The extra tea leaves out. There are no little crevices or cracks in the bottom where tea leaves get stuck. You just take the bottom off. Spray it all the way through and the thing is completely clean! I just put tea in it, filled it with water, and left it in the fridge over the night and in the morning I had some lovely herbal tea to wake up to. Highly recommend this for any iced tea lovers.

This is one of the main and easy methods to create cold brew. This glass jar has a fine plastic mesh filter container which twists on and off from the black main pouring handle part when removed from the jar. Once the cold brew has brewed you remove the main black handle part and just twist off the filter container and replace the black handle top on the jar. The filter container is easily emptied as there is a plastic black cap at the bottom which can be twisted off so the grounds can be pushed out and then the remaining flushed out with water and cleaned. The filter container can either be filled with grounds in situ or on your scales, and when back in place, you can then pour your water over the grounds carefully like for a filter drip coffee. The plastic transparent lid is then screwed on and provides a good air tight seal, making sure that the lip cover is over the pouring lip. This lid also acts as the release as to flow rate of the coffee when pouring. Twist 1/4 and a slow pour will occur and a 1/2 twist, ie the lip of the lid is over the handle and the coffee pours out quickly. The main handle has a nice silicone thumb grip on the top to help hold the heavy filled jar when pouring. The jar fits nicely into my fridge door to remain cold. An added bonus of this type of cold coffee brewer is that you can also put chopped fruit in the filter container to infuse normal water to create nice refreshing cold fruit flavoured water. The only minor niggles of what was provided, but which do not detract away from the product, are that there were no instructions for newcomers as well as any marks showing how much volume of liquid is in the jar and it would have been nice to include a long cleaning brush for the long filter container. Everything is well made and fits together well allowing for a good cold brew.

However, in the heat of summer, it's a pain to drink hot tea. If you know anything about cold tea - it takes considerably longer to brew. I like this because loose leaf tea is the way to go - saves on plastic from the tea bags and I don't have to worry about drinking tea bits (not fun). This is quite easy to wash - very important for me as I am way to busy to be scrubbing things out. I rinse out the bits when I get ready to drink my tea and then throw the whole thing in the dishwasher when I'm done. Comes clean very easy and no issues with so far. Great addition to our kitchen.
