How can I remove it?** A: i presume you mean you cant remove the glass ball to get at the bulb.I am sorry but as yet i have not needed to replace my bulb. However when i had mine fitted the electrician wasnt aware of the securing screws consequently, after a strong wind it blew of and smashed. So i got in touch with the company who were extremely helpfull.And puchased another globe . I am puzzled how it could have been welded in the first place without sounding rude are you sure that one of the screws isnt still holding the ball on becaause on mine if i carry on turning the locking screws it opens then relocks.Hope you get sorted **Q: Is the bulb included with this lamp?** A: The LED light (3 LED) on the bottom of the lamp is incl. It appears that the key concern is that water will run down the glass globe and gather within the core fixture, and then penetrate deep within and cause electrical chaos.As the globe sits on top of the metal 'cup' and is secured via two plastic arms which swivel out to lock it in place, I can see how water would get down there, as there is no seal around the join. The packaging makes a big feature of a drain hole near the base of this shallow metal cup, and one could see how this should resolve the problem. And also understand how once contaminants have accumulated, water could find it's own path to the innards.In my situation, although we regularly get high winds and copious rainfall (it's Scotland, what do you expect?!), this door-side lamp is under a 2' overhanging roof eave and so never gets anything worse that moist air wafted across it. So the identified problem, isn't.You can create your own rear entry point if you want (within the top half of the wall presented section), but sealing it would be a problem if you need to.I used a halogen E27 lamp (=69W) and it's nice and bright. Roadway traffic around 30' away doesn't trigger it, but the neighbour's car on the shared driveway 20' away does. As do all callers to either property. Duration of switch-on period and daylight/nightime sensitivity both adjustable.For me, it's a brilliant product - dead chuffed. I can understand that it may not perform well in a genuinely exposed situation, and would say that it doesn't appear to be designed to do so. Yes the glass is delicate / thin. In a sheltered environment, and treated gently, as thin glass should be, then it will work as expected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice lamp but watch out for alignment issues *by P***N on 28 October 2015* The light works fine. The LED light is surprising bright. I've attached a photo to try and show how it looks. You can easily see what you are doing with that light on alone - at least for an area of a few meters around the light. I've dropped one star because of the problem I had fitting it. I put the plastic thing on the wall that the metal light attaches to. When I put the light on the plastic, it was not vertical. Fair enough - I had not been very accurate putting the plastic base on - just did it by eye. So I drilled 2 more holes after using a spirit level on the two holes for the metal bit to make sure they were 100% horizontal. But again, the lamp was not vertical. Now I realise that the holes are crooked. I attached a photo where you can see (now that the light is vertical) that the two bolts are not horizontal. So watch out for that! ### ⭐ I bought 3 of these lights but after 12 months 1 has stopped working and there is no support *by A***M on 7 March 2013* I bought 3 of these wall lights and they do look good. I installed them in March 2012 (bought in Dec 2011) and they have worked OK until one failed (PIR sensor) in Feb this year. I contacted Amazon for support but they do not sell it any more so cannot replace the faulty item. 'Sorry can't help'. I was advised to contact the manufacturer but they are not contactable under the trade name of Byron Elro (why are they hiding) Amazon could not supply any contact details for the manufacturer (unbelievable?!!)I am left with 1 failed wall light, 2 that are working at the moment. They look great but have poor quality electronics.I am faced with having to buy another to replace this unit but when will the others fail?
