Distract kids for hours
These are awesome! Some people might not want to buy them because the colors aren’t separated. My kids LOVED separating them! There are SO many colors for them to pick from too! They loved the variety of colors they had! Great value for your money!

Take more time with the iron for these ones!
I love the color assortment in this bucket. It's a great mix and includes a metallic copper and a peachy pink "skin tone" color too. There are plenty of each color to create all kinds of fun designs. I especially love the bucket these beads come in. It's sturdy and actually clicks shut so you know it's not going to spill. The description said it would come with a "big ironing paper" but mine did not. Fortunately we use perler beads a lot in my house (5 kids), so we had some supplies already on hand. The bucket included no instructions, so I figured these would function the same as perler beads. I was wrong. These fuse beads take a lot longer to fuse than the perler beads I'm used to. My daughter spent a couple hours meticulously designing a larger piece only to be incredibly frustrated when it wouldn't fuse together. After several attempts and losing half of the design, we found out the hard way that these beads only fuse if you set the iron to the hottest setting and work on it for at least 2-3 minutes per side (her big piece took closer to seven minutes of ironing to fuse the half that was salvageable - per side). Even then there are some beads that just seem to resist melting enough to effectively fuse. There doesn't seem to be any specific color that is more or less likely to have this problem. For a few of the test pieces I made I ended up just setting the iron on them for 2-3 minutes to get the beads to fuse completely. 30-60 seconds as advertised in the photo description for this listing is not accurate in my experience. Now that we are aware of the higher temperature and longer iron time, the kids and I are enjoying these fuse beads. They are a great assortment and a good quality for the money - but I don't think it would be wise to mix them with other brands that may fuse much faster and at a lower heat setting.

Lots of unsorted beads, they melt well and taste bad!
Yeah, you read that right. They taste bad. Like a Switch cartridge, if you've tasted one of those. I don't know if that's from manufacturing or is an intentional choice to get babies not to try and eat them, but either way it's appreciated. We've got a serial bead chewer here and the less beads they can chew, the better.Anyway, you've got a whole bucket full of beads. Is it actually 12,000? I don't know and I'm not counting, but there's a ton of them. They're unsorted, which you should know just by looking at the product page. So you can either pick them out one by one or spend an afternoon or two sorting them, up to you. They feel just like any "official" beads like this, and melt just as well. There's a nice selection of colors, and that's about it! A good deal for the price, I think. So long as you're okay sorting them yourself. Which we are, and this isn't the first time we've done so.

Nice color assortment
I'm pretty happy with these beads, there's a wide assortment of colors included, and the sheer quantity you receive is great. I don't bother sorting these buckets out, so it helps to have a tray to pour beads into, as well as the fuse bead tweezers to pick out the colors you need. I'm happy with the quality of these, but I do think their rival brand is slightly thicker, so I wouldn't use the two brands together. But these are great beads, and they melt well. I remember using fuse beads as a child, and I've recently been doing them with my children, who absolutely love it. And with a bucket like this, we'll be able to create a LOT!!! It would be nice if this included a tray or two, as well as the tweezers and parchment paper, but since I have everything already, I didn't need them. But you can never have too many large square trays!! It's a great bucket of beads to get though, especially if you want an assortment of colors.
