Mackie Thump215 15" 1400W Powered Loudspeaker with Heavy-Duty Drivers

I got a very good deal on these at $340 each, so it might affect my thoughts some. But they're excellent for parties and events where loud music is needed. We had a serious barn banger in August with just 2 of the 4 I bought and people are still talking about how awesome it was in December. They are only slightly less good at low-med volume, due to noise, if you dial it in with good gain staging. Otherwise they can rough at low volumes. That said, they're very clear for the price, and I love that. I ended up keeping 2 in the music studio and putting 2 in our basement bar. They work perfectly for karaoke and bar level music.

Replaced my other name brand 15" powered speakers with these Mackie 12", mainly because they are so much lighter, only weighing 27 Lbs. They almost out perform my 15" EV's. I'm very happy with them.

For starters I'm not a DJ. Sort of but not really. I used these to play music for my kids swim teams, to entertain the crowd while everyone is warming up, and we use them for announcing heats/events. I am however an audiophile. I did some research for non expensive speakers that I could use a few months out of the year, something that sounds good both indoors and out, and something that could be heard when we're talking or playing music. Needless to say these fit the bill. I got two of them, not knowing that one of them was really needed because of the power, but the 2nd speaker is an added bonus for the people a half mile away who want to hear what we're listening to. What I love is that you can connect these via either XLR or 1/4 from a mixer and it will still sound great. They're not really heavy either, the handles on the side help too. They're great when you put them on a dolly and don't move around or fall off. I also like that you don't even need a mixer to connect the speakers to a device and can go directly into them, and then XLR to the output to another speaker. The only con I can think of is the 6ft cables they give you, when have them on a speaker stand. I ended up buying 15ft cables so I don't have a surge protector hanging off of the speaker stand. But that's about it.

The only short coming is I feel like they have too much low end for bluegrass. But I can mix that out a bit. I love them. We play small gigs and literally can’t get them higher than 2O% gain and volume. They have too much power. These are massive and could suffice playing in a large hall or small open air park. I’d definitely buy these again.

Great entry level for small events and to get you started into dj,Pa and sound without breaking the bank. They work well and do the job and can handle a bit of rough housing. Cons no Bluetooth, that may come in handy if you want to use it for more versatile setups like a cocktail hour or something that doesn’t require a full setup. The quality is not the best but for the price it’s fairly good, there’s no eq on the device so you need a mixer Pros Has feedback suppression a mix/line switch It’s not too heavy for its size I can carry either one in hand

Really wide range with great bass for an unbelievable price.

I'm using it for church, sounds amazing! Has enough power for a crowd of 150 to 250. The hall is also quite big and two speakers sound good. But might need 2 more if the crowd increases above 200. Very very capable speakers, highly recommended

Je suis très satisfait du son , y sont fait pour faire leur job . Seul point négatif avec amazone c’est quand tu achète un produit et 2 jours après ton achat par le même vendeur son moin cher , es ou l’exactitude des prix au Québec . Ou bien même des fois tu veut racheter le même item et wow le pris à augmenter de 400$ en 24h pour quoi ??? Mais pour le son woww avec Mackie .

Worst sound quality, simply poor and worst, I tested with everything, every sound is getting fade and cluttered. Looks like a broken speaker. Waste of money

Good quality music at this price range. Can easily accommodate 150 to 200 people crowd.
