Best broom and dustpan and brush I've ever bought,highly recommended

Needed a new brush and this vileda brand is the same as my last one but a different style of brush head. This brush head has a foam insert on one side of the brush, to stop bits bouncing back when using. However, as this foam insert is there it doesrestrict how you brush with it, more brushing towards you rather than straight on forward away from you like a normal brush. I think the foam panel will need cleaning at some point in time and it can be removed to do this. When I do remove for cleaning I may see how well it performs without it. Brush head is quite slim and the bristles are soft. This is not an outside brush and more for inside smooth flooring. Like how the handle is adjustable to your height as standard handles are too long for most people and sweeping jobs being undertaken. Came with a dustpan and brush as part of the set. Dustpan does the job and collects bits in it as the edge/rubber strip is flat to the floor so nothing goes under it :)1 star removed for the foam panel as the jury is still out with me on whether I like it or not, but will give it a good go before considering removing it to turn it into a basic and traditional type brush.

Pro: As someone who suffers with a bad back this is very helpful, no more trying to hold the pan with my foot as I sweep up the bits on the floor, the brooms adjustable handle is good for most people and the dust pan has a handle, the broom has a sponge on one side and it's great for stopping stuff from passing through.Cons: The dustpan doesn't have an adjustable handle so although you don't need to reach the floor if you are tall you'll still need to bend a little.

I had a very similar set that I have successfully used for 7 year! What a life for a brush. Finally the sponge is wearing out and a corner has broken off a little making the fitting loose. The dustpan still feels and looks like new. A replacement set is a disappointment. The brush head, though is an excellent quality, is too heavy to use, even heavier when attached to a heavy telescopic handle. On contrary, the dustpan is too light and feels almost fragile, like the brush and the pan even do not belong together and should not be in the same set. One thing is good about the dustpan, it is designed to fit standing into the corner, though what's the point to have hooks at the end of the handles? The older set was a proper set (belong together) where the brush was made to slide, hook and hold on the dustpan handle, which had a hook to be hooked on the rack. I have unscrewed and attached the new head to a lighter, non-telescopic handle from the old set and am using an old dustpan. These two feel a better match. Would I spend so much money to buy the product again? No way. I would search for something light though sturdy of the same quality. I am rather disappointed (paid for an international delivery to get my favourite product I so much loved over the years, but it is not the same product...) Tank you.
