Q: Is the fish oil used tested for mercury ?

I contacted Thorne and spoke with one of their personnel about getting a certified copy of lab results on two of their Omega 3 products, due to increasing concerns regarding ocean pollutants, heavy metals, etc., that show up in fish and fish oil pills. When I asked for a copy of test results the woman I spoke with said "we don't do that". She would not provide an explanation as to why. I even offered to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Nope. No way would Thorne consider sharing with anyone the level of contaminants/ppm or billion- other than Lead, mercury, Cadmium and one other which I can't remember. Nope, no way will I purchase and ingest a supplement from a company without verifying the levels of contaminants. Someone is trying to hide something here. Yesterday, their site said that 11 of their products had substances in them that were above Proposition 65 limits. Today she claims "that's been taken care of". The truth is often protected by a bodyguard of denials and no documentation.
