We have tried so hard to love this kettle. It looks lovely, its brilliantly simple to use, the temp control is actually an incredibly useful function and the display and control panel in the handle is brilliant...until it isn't. Our first one lasted about a year before it started acting up. It developed a fault where it would intermittently cut out as soon as you hit the power button after selecting the temperature. A few months later it died altogether so we returned it under warranty and were sent a replacement bu Cuisineart. Her we are a year later and the exact same fault has developed again in the replacement, which is now barely useable and clearly on the way out as well. So there must be some fundamental design or manufacturing flaw in this kettle that renders it useless in a year or two. Which is really sad, because it could be the perfect kettle. Update: Now on our 3rd version of this kettle. Precisely the same fault described above has developed as the previous 2, in the same amount of time (10-12 months). Save your money and buy something else.

Was working great until it stopped working today not even a year old. Would like to return it and get a refund.

Initially a great kettle; boils fast and the ability to select a pre-set range of temps was handy. It lasted just over 4 months before it broke - wouldn't boil anything at any temperate. Beeped and the blue light would still work but that was it. Contacted Cusinart who noted the manufacturing number and issued a replacement, adding on a further year to the 3 year guarantee. Fast forward to now and it's broken again. This one lasted 10 months before the same issue. Best part, that fancy 4-year guarantee is from date of manufacture, not purchase. Ours was made in 2020, bought first time in 2023 and the 4 years ran out mid 2024 so not as fancy as you'd think.

Love this kettle. Boils very quickly and is fairly quiet compared to previous kettles I've had. The temperature reading is also very useful so you know how hot the water is and to be able to change the temp to boil at 85 degrees also useful. I disagree with other reviews as I find the beeping when the kettle has boiled useful rather than annoying. The limescale filter is also very good with no limescale bits at all ending up in your cup. I bought the pearl colour and it looks fantastic and doesn't show up any water marks. Overall very very happy with this kettle.

Originally purchased in 2021, but needed to contact the seller as it had broken down. It had stopped boiling water. On googling, it transpired it was a known fault and as the kettle carried a 3 year warranty, I was offered a replacement. I’ve now had the replacement for just over a year and it too has broken down. To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement ! I’d hoped that the fault would have been resolved- but sadly it hasn’t. It’s an expensive make and I expected better if it. I accepted the replacement because I had the matching toaster - but it too is temperamental in whether it toasts or burns. Epic fail Cuisinart. As an expensive brand I expected better quality. I’m a very unhappy, disappointed customer and won’t be bothering purchasing anything else from Cuisinart! Don’t waste your money.

Good kettle, a pity the body isn't insulated like my old Kitchen Aid

It looks really good and has good features including the variable temperature. But after 14 months the switch malfunctioned and now it won't turn on. Hoping to get a replacement via the 3-year warranty.

As highlighted by previous reviewers, the button on our kettle Failed. It was within its 3 year warranty and we received a replacement kettle which only had an extended warranty of 6 months beyond the original 3 year term (in effect 15months warranty). Now Just out of this 15 month warranty, the second kettle has now developed the same fault. Also the silver disc on the lid has now become detached with no way of fixing it back on. We are now left with a matching toaster and no kettle. This is a very poor quality kettle and certainly not worth the purchase price. Don’t waste you money.

bought it again in January 2025. It stopped working in september! Does not start heating water, just says 'sorry'. It was third kettle of this kind i bought. First one still operates nicely after 10+ years. The build quality was great! The second one was bought in 2021, after COVID supply chain issues. That lasted 3 years and died end of 2024. It died exactly like the third one. So I suspect something happened with manufacturing quality around year 2021 and now they dont even last one year! Will have to switch to some chinese models which provide better functionality at a fraction of the price of Cuisinart. And hopefully do not break after few months

livrée inutilisable; Cette bouilloire m'a été envoyée avec une prise anglaise, j'ai donc demandé à Amazon de changer le socle de chauffe avec une prise aux normes françaises. Amazon me renvoie vers Cuisinart que j'ai appelé qui a fini par me dire que je devais leur renvoyer la bouilloire avec photos et factures.j'ai envoyé les documents par le mel donné par Cuisinart. au bout de 5 jours pas de bon de retour; je renvoie alors un mel la reponse assez séche est alors " voyez avec AMAZON". Pour en finir rapidement je suis aller acheter un convertisseur de prise 15€. grosse prise convertisseur qui occupe 2 entrées. Chapeau AMAZON et Cuisinart.

Worked well for 9 months then died. This is to be expected from a company like Cuisinart (and their parent company, Conair) who make cheap, low-quality products that cost a lot. The kettle now refuses to turn on. When the power button is pushed it comes on for a second and then immediatley switches itself off. It's as if there is some safety override that is stuck or something. The kettle is now useless and will have to recycled. I tried to register the product on the Cuisinart web site but the product number (B009PL1UC2) is not listed. In fact, that particular model is no longer available here on Amazon. It seems like it's been discontinued. So five stars for giving me decent service for 9 months, minus three stars for dying after less than a year.
