Almay Smart Shade Ageless Foundation, 100 Light, 1 fl oz

Took me a few bottles to get to the right shade for me, but I sure love this product! It looks like white lotion when you squeeze the tube, but has foundation that covers my spider veins, and age spots beautifully. It is soft, and goes on smoothly. For the price, it is a winner for me!

I’m so impressed with this foundation! It blends effortlessly and matches my skin tone incredibly well, giving it a natural, even finish. It feels very lightweight on my skin but still provides great coverage without looking heavy. I also appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and contains skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. This has quickly become one of my favorite foundations!

This stuff is really amazing, the fact that it comes out of the tube a neutral color and it manages to match. My skin tone is really amazing. I didn't have any sort of adverse reactions to it, those skin breakouts, anything like that. It is decently easy to blend, especially if you use brushes, but because of whatever it's made of being really pale. It can give you a little bit of an ashen look if you aren't careful. So I Use this with some of my other makeup to get a more realistic and natural finish.

I recently tried the Almay Smart Shade Ageless Foundation, and I was pleasantly surprised. The formula feels lightweight on the skin and blends easily, adjusting nicely to my skin tone. I love that it doesn’t settle into fine lines and actually gives my skin a smoother, more hydrated look.

What a great product! This foundation matches my skin tone exactly. It goes on smoothing and looks amazing. It doesn’t turn orange and feels light on the skin. It takes a very small amount and provides great coverage. I will definitely be reordering this product.

PROS: 1. Fun to watch the white cream disappear into the skin 2. Lightweight 3. Blends easily 4. Inexpensive 5. Smooth texture CONS: 1. Doesn't cover by itself, need to apply layers and use an additional concealer 2. If heavily applied, the color is not a perfect match (mine was too yellow); use it sparingly for better color blending. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The "After" image includes using additional stick Covergirl concealer for better coverage of brown age spots. Overall, this foundation is ok in a pinch but did not give me the coverage I was looking for by itself. Instead, I bought Fiera concealer and used as a foundation (which costs about $5 more than this one). The Fiera works well for my aging skin (much thicker and provides better coverage). If age spots are not your concern, this foundation might be all you need. But if you are over 40 and need something more, I would suggest you look elsewhere.

When my other foundation was discontinued I struggled for a month to find a new one--this was the winner. It's light--I love the smart shade (it even adjusted when I got a little sun one weekend!) and it doesn't cause me to break out.

Sadly, the item that was sent appeared used or old. The outside had black marks and sticker residue all over it. Love the product though just not this one in particular.

Too dark

Me encanta la tecnología de esta base, tipo el protector solar mieneral de Colorescience. Trae ingredientes con beneficios pues trae ácido hialurónico y niacinamida. Deja la piel muy hidratada, efecto mate. Si eres de piel morena clara (como decimos los mexicanos) te va a quedar perfecto el tono light medium. Si eres un poco más clara, como fue mi caso (ojo no soy güera) tono light te va a quedar mejor. "se adapta" es smart shade. Yo tuve que comprar las dos, ambas me quedan, una da al tono y la otra me da un bronceado saludable.

This product turned my skin orange. Great for Halloween but I couldn't wear it any other time. soo disappointed.

I received a used item. Scratched half-empty bottle is stated as NEW in the description. Besides it has strange smell (like expired) though it should be fragrance-free.
