MWPFADS - Fresh Approach To The Drum Set

It's a good book for beginner drum set players. It was actually recommended to me but my professor, who has a doctorate in Music Education with a focus on percussion. It's best used with the soundtrack, which is found on youtube, under the publisher's channel.

My daughter's been taking drum lessons for almost 2 years and when she switched teachers, he suggested we get this book to help her move forward more quickly. She likes the book and in a few short weeks has been able to master many of the techniques. She likes that it's more fun than the book she was using.

Really liking this so far. I started off kind of rushing through it, then decided to start over and really do every single thing the book says to do. I've noticed a lot of improvement. Nice for someone who doesn't have the time or money to take lessons, but I'm sure an instructor would help!

Great for learning drums. It has a play-along CD so you can test out what the book is teaching you. I'm glad I got this as I had never sat behind a drum set before and this is helping me learn.

The video lessons aren't free against at the snare drum.

(According to my 10 year old who used this book): This book starts from easy and gets harder. It's a very challenging book. It also showed a lot of great sticking.
