Renovo International Soft Top Reviver, Black, 1 Litre

I’m extremely pleased with the Renovo International Soft Top Reviver in Black and would happily give it five stars. It has been an excellent product for restoring and refreshing the appearance of my soft top, bringing back a deeper, richer black colour and making the fabric look much cleaner and more vibrant. The application process is straightforward, and the product is easy to use when following the instructions carefully. The 1-litre size provides plenty of coverage, making it good value for money and suitable for treating larger soft-top areas. The finish looks professional, helping to improve the overall appearance of the vehicle and giving the roof a much fresher look. I was impressed with the quality of the results, as it helps revive faded areas and gives the fabric a renewed appearance. It also feels like a high-quality product designed specifically for convertible soft tops rather than a general-purpose cleaner. Easy to apply & very effective. I 'painted' this onto the covertible roof of my 12 year old BMW 640d. I had washed it the day before but it had lots of faded bits, marks, stains etc, and looked pretty poor. Hence I purchased the Renovo black restorer. Following a tip in another review I also purchased some plastic decorating sheets, and before starting, I partially opened the roof, lay out the plastic sheet, then closed the softop fully, pining the plastic protective sheet in place. It was a dry sunny day, but as per the instructions I ensured the car was in the shade and worked methodically and fast, but without rushing. Product went on very easily, it wipes off easily when wet if you spill it, and dries to a good black with no brush marks. I'm very pleased, the roof looks so much better - the after photos don't do it justice but it's a massive improvement and the black is like new. It obviously won't hide 12 years of creasing, but the softop is hugely improved. I had enough product to properly cover a BMW 640d softopop which is quite big with some leftover. I repeated one small area where there was a bad stain (after it had dried) and that has dried very well with no obvious difference between 1 and 2 coats in terms of colour, but the stain is improved and less visible. On the flat roof area it was really easy to apply, but on the edges which slope down, a bit more care is needed so the product doesn't just drip off the side. I'd highly recommend this product to restore / revive a black softop.

Outstanding product for restoring faded fabric soft tops. The Renovo Black Reviver delivers a deep, even colour and genuinely transforms tired material. Easy to apply, water‑based and dries quickly with no harsh odour. The 1‑litre bottle provides excellent coverage and is ideal for full‑hood restoration. Very impressed with the finish — looks factory‑fresh again. Highly recommended.

Good product, bought a 1 ltr bottle to cover an Audi A4 convertible roof. It has has 3 coats upto now and still have around half the bottle left. It covers quite well but is very runny and does take more than one coat but to be fair the roof now looks 100% better, pity the product does not have a water proofer built into it as now I have to buy the water proofer to finish the job off. But overall satisfied with product !!!!

Quite incredible, I bought all three of these Cleaner, colourer and proofer so here are my thoughts... The cleaner I did twice, painted on with a clean 2" brush, with care, yes it does run, but a simple bucket with warm water and a J cloth kept on top of everything. First one I left on for 20 mins, then light scrub with old nail brush. Then an hour later did the same except this time left it on for an hour, then scrub and rinse, outcome 70% of marks on a 23 year old Mazda MX roof were gone. This roof was light gray, but cleaner made it almost Very Light gray, looked clean. Used 250 ml of a 500ml bottle. Then colourer restorer, bear in mind my roof was light gray, four coats over two days, made it BLACK, Black like the Night, Black. I am delighted, again, on with a 2" brush and J cloth and bucket at hand. I left 5 hours between coats and delighted with outcome. Only slight mistake was I bought the 1 litre bottle and with four coats on a Mazda MX 5 roof I have around 300ml....maybe could have got away with the 500ml bottle. Proofer, again, three coats and used another Clean 2" brush and loyal J cloth and bucket and this dried faster 3 coats in 6 hours... Outcome DELIGHTED...I have a Silver car and a DEEP Black roof well worth 3 days work and £50, thank you!

From light to a medium brown and grey ish type color It said to apply 2 coats to achieve a black top perfect look. My car was only a year old from brand new yet the effect was not satisfactory at all. Disappointed.
