Excellent quality air filter. It's always good to use OEM filter.

We have a Blueair filter and these are the best priced filters I’ve found. Have them set for automatic delivery every six months so I don’t have to think about my air filter ever which is really nice. It’s constantly running in our bedroom and with two large dogs and a husband with terrible allergies, it’s been great for us over the last 8 years. Tried to use generic filters once and they didn’t fit correctly and didn’t work nearly as well. Pay the money and get the better product for this air filter.

Fits the classic 480i perfectly. I generally try to buy OEM filters given that I want to ensure a good fit and the whole purpose of buying a high quality purifier in the first place is to be effective. Only downside is that they are very expensive and feels like they are taking advantage of locked in users.

I recently switched to a whole home purifier to reduce the consumables of the Blueair filters. While third party filters exist, the Blueair ones do seem to be better built and filter better. Many of the Blueair filters are designed with brushes to charge the air passing by so that they are trapped in the filter. I think there is some sort of optimization that exists.
