This was clearly not brand new when I received it. Rusty screws, nicks, and residue of past use, and worn down gaskets. The idle set screw (missing it's plug cover) had been tampered with so many times that it was impossible to make any more adjustments. When I installed it, my weed eater fired right up, but terrible performance. Worse than the original. And I couldn't adjust the idle screw anymore. In the end it worked out ok, because all I really needed from it was the primer assembly. The internal check valve of the original had gotten all messed up. So I took the primer assembly off this one and put it on my original carburetor. That did the ticket, so in the end I'm fine with the way it turned out. Still though, not new as advertised.
