I never used a plasma cutter before, ordered this one and set up was easy. Only needed to get a part to hook up air line to my compressor from hardware store for quick connect fitting.Took some steel I had and made this cat shape to cut out. Set to 120v and 25 on the dial, and air to 45 psi. Cut this out like butter with a hot knife! I never used a cutter before and it was quite easy but I know my skills will improve with practice.It tripped my outlet I guess a gfi so I took out my generator to power it up and had no problems. Seems like a good quality machine and a great price point.Only complaint is the air filter drain knob was chipped/cracked when I took it out of the box so I emailed support and waiting for a reply, may call instead of waiting for an email.Happy with my purchase!

Very prompt delivery. Everything listed was included in the box. Simple setup, very compact unit. One thing to note: if you don’t have a 30-50 amp 110volt circuit the unit doesn’t work very well on 110v. It works fantastic on on a 30-50 amp 220v circuit. Once I got it setup and played with the current and air pressure this thing cuts like butter and is very fast compared to other cutting types. I am still figuring ideal settings for no slag but it is creating minimal slag now. Great machine for its size. Also make sure and read directions about switching from 110 to 220 if you don’t do it right you can ruin the machine according to Arccaptain. Enjoy!

Did some reviews of plasma cutters after using one on my friends. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a product that I would probably be used a few times a month and happened to come across an advertisement for the arccaptain 50. The reviews on YouTube were very positive, the price was right, so decided to take the plunge. When I received the cutter I was surprised how light and compact it was. I tried it on 110 and it work good until my air compressor kicked on. I had to order an adapter for the 220 since my 220 outlet is the old 3 blade type. Tried on 220 and was surprised on how well it cut. My friend stopped by and was so impressed that he ordered him one to replace his 15yr old cutter. Over all I am very well pleased with it and hopefully it will give me years of service.

As long as the machine stands the test of time it will be an excellent addition. I’ve used hypertherms in the past. Which are obviously 5x the price of this machine. I unboxed it, hooked up the air and to a 30 amp 240 outlet and ripped through 1/4 plate with ease. Actually did a 4 foot long cut in 1/4 plate without stopping. Very impressed. If this only last a couple years then I will be happy. They are cheap enough that replacement every so often isn’t a problem.Make sure to order a consumable kit. It only comes with one set in addition to what’s installed in the torch.
