I once thought that all mass produced "dark" Agave were shams with no difference in flavor, only color. Biona has changed my mind. I don't know how to describe the difference in concrete terms, sadly, but this agave nectar's flavor is unquestionably superior to my palate. It is something like the difference between common mass produced honey and aged wild honey harvested from tropical forests. Well done, Biona.I agree with another reviewer that it is a shame to purchase something like this in a plastic container, BUT can't dock stars for that. I knew it was plastic upon purchase, and glass doesn't lend itself to small-unit shipping.

We have being using agave for about 2 years as an alternative sweetener for about two years now. we changed to this brand due to it's availability on the save and suscribe program and we have not looked back. Just used it in a homemade ginger cake recipe instead of golden syrup it worked very well in fact each family member commented on the latest ginger cake and what was done differently - it was the agave! The cake now has a fully organic ingredient list and a lower GI index so more healthful!

I have ordered this again as it is very good, the difference between this dark agave and shop bought light agave is like having great filter coffee against cheap instant.Superb flavour, will keep re-ordering

Sweetener

This is fantastic! It tastes a lot like honey so it’s a fantastic vegan alternative. It’s definitely one of the better tasting Agave syrups on the market!

Nice taste however I thought the darker syrup would taste sweeter then the light but I find it is less sweet but still good worth a try.

very versatile product, works well in all culinary processess. like it better than sugar. i use it in conjunction with xylotol.
