iScooter iX3/iX4 Electric Scooter, 10" Off-Road Tires, 25/28 Miles Range

This review is for the iScooter iX3 I live in a downtown area where parking is a problem and towing a reality. I scooter to work and all my local errands, and since I am in Florida I only use my car when it rains. As soon as I opened the box, I could see the obvious quality of the construction, and feel the weight of the materials. I was immediately impressed. The battery came about 75% charged so I immediately took a test drive. WOW! I got on the scooter and hit the throttle and immediately did a wheelie! Yes, it's rear wheel drive. It accelerates really fast, and delivers a very solid, and fast ride. It looks just like the photos an Amazon's page. This isn't a good scooter for an inexperienced rider, but I've had several scooters so I think it's awesome - by far, the best scooter I've had. It has real, air-filled tires with great tread, and the four shocks deliver a smooth ride even on the brick streets in my neighborhood. It's solid in the dirt alley behind my house, unlike my last scooter which could not handle dirt. I haven't taken it to the beach yet but I think it would do fine in the sand, too. It does have turn signals on each side, but the design of this type of scooter just doesn't give them a place to mount a truly visible turn signal. The switch is mounted in an ideal place to toggle it with my left thumb, but in daylight I doubt car drivers would see them. Unlike a car, you have to manually shut the turn signal off. The headlight position is perfect, it lights up the road great. I think the tail light could be bigger but it is visible and adequate. The battery life is great! The faster you go, the faster the battery gets used but unlike my last scooter i can ride around for a couple hours and still have plenty of battery. The scooter hits it's max speed of 25 mph very quickly and holds it well. What they call cruise control engages automatically when you hold a speed for 30 seconds or so. It's enabled by default and it's a feature I don't like. It can easily be disabled in the app. The highest speed mode is limited to 25 mph, unfortunately I can't yet find a way to increase that limit. I love this scooter, and strongly recommend it. Theres a metal bracket above the rear fender with two holes in it, they're perfect to use to lock the scooter to a bike rack. The app has a wheel-lock setting but that doesn't stop someone from picking it up and carrying it away. The only problem I've had was connecting it to the app, The error message in the app is in Chinese, so i couldn't understand it, but an email to support answered that question. Because I use an iPhone, and I use screen time to increase security, I had bluetooth sharing disabled. Once I enabled bluetooth sharing I was able to connect, and save the settings so then i could disable bluetooth sharing and still connect. The handlebars have enough room to mount a rear view mirror on one side and another accessory on the other side. I feel this is the safest, fastest and best made scooter I could have bought. iScooter sells replacement tires and batteries and other parts, so it should be easy to maintain and I expect it to last quite a while. UPDATE I reached out to iScooter support to inquire about buying a spare tire, because I like to be prepared for the bad stuff. I got a prompt response from a very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful customer service rep, whose first concern was, did I have a problem? She made it clear that the tires are covered by the warranty, with some reasonable limits. After clarifying that, she gave me the information I was seeking, and even sent me a video link that showed me exactly how to change the drive tire. I was already impressed with my scooter, and after seeing how sincerely iScooter supports their product, I bought a second scooter for my partner. It arrived earlier than promised, and was just as impressive and perfectly manufactured as my first scooter. Not only does iScooter make a quality product that in my experience is the best scooter I have had, but their customer service team is the best one I have ever dealt with. This is a company that makes a quality product and supports it like all companies should support their products! After buying two scooters from them, I will say that you can buy with confidence from iScooter!

To be honest, for the price this thing has been very impressive. The suspension on it is good, definitely makes a difference when riding on rough terrain. I find it pretty easy to ride, but I guess that depends on your skill level. I had a smaller one and my wife had a hard time riding that, so she would probably not like this one due to it having more power and being heavier. I weigh about 180lbs and this does struggles to pull me up hills at the full speed, but it will do it (around 16-18mph). Just a little slower than I would like. Overall, I wish it had more power, but for the price I’d say it’s pretty good. My friend and I like riding these around off-road and jumping them off curbs and whatever we can get at, so we do a little bit more than what this is probably built for but it’s held up really well. I’ve had it for almost 2 years and probably put around 30 to 40 miles on it and it’s still going strong. The one downfall is the handlebars, they fold over to make the scooter more compact. Which is a great idea, however there is a lot of play at the joint where it folds. Way too much and it only gets worse the more you ride it. This could probably be fixed with some tougher screws and better material. However, it hasn’t folded over while I’ve been riding it or anything, just has vibration when riding in the handle bars. Either way, I’d recommend this to a newer rider . Depending on your weight, you might want to get something with a little bit more power. But it also just depends on what you want to do with this scooter. If you just wanna ride it on the road back and forth, it should do a good job, but if you wanna take it off road and jump it, you might want something with a little bit more power too. The headlight works great, turn signals work well too (kind of gimmicky though). I upgraded the floorboard with some grip tape. It’s a little bit slippery when wet, so the grip tape helps. But if you’re not planning on riding in the elements, you’ll be fine. Brakes are also good, they lock up and stop very well.

This scooter is pretty slick! I just passed the 400 mile mark and other than a very small amount of battery sag it's still as good as it was on mile 1! There's a lot to like about this scooter and only a few things that are less than awesome. So pros and cons: PROS: This scooter is definitely well made with sturdiness and longevity in mind. The locking mechanism is solid and easily or into place quickly, as well as taken out when you need to fold the scooter. I'm 215lbs and it carries my weight well reaching 24 mph (top speed) even on pretty steep hills. The lights are bright (head, tail, under, all of them!) and all parts of the scooter function as they should. The tires have held up amazingly and the size of the scooter is perfect for a 5'11" male or smaller (handle bar height is adjustable. CONS: Let me begin by saying only one of these really really falls into this category. The other two are just... Inconvenient i guess you would say. So let's get the big one or of the way.... Battery size. It has a 48v 10ah battery and they boast that it'll take you a maximum of 25 miles per charge. Well as mentioned before in 215lbs and riding with a mix of turbo for about 5 miles and the rest of the battery life riding on standard i consistently only get 13 miles from full to empty. And i live in Florida so it's definitely not because of steep hills or gusty wind. I'm my own humble opinion the battery should have been at the least 15ah, but more likely closer to 20ah and this scooter would be nearly perfect. Im getting ready to build my own battery and add it as a secondary to get a little more mileage out of it. Next is the rear shocks... They have been closed to useless from day 1 and bottom out on any kind of bump be it small or large. I haven't going an upgrade for them yet but I'm looking. Ok, last con would have to be the slowest of the 3 speed... Eco. Eco registers at 10mph, Standard at 18mph, and Turbo at 24mph. Honestly i have tried to make myself ride out in Eco and it's slow, like walking slow! I never can make myself keep it on for more then a min and i tell myself and the blinking 1 bar left in the display that is rather walk than ride this slow before putting it back into Standard. So that's it. I know there are a few points i should cover like brakes(power full enough that I've take 3 separate over the handle bar dives by engaging the front brake too fast?), cruise control ( very simple and effective) , and the app ( could also be on the cons list) but really I've said all that needed to be said about this awesome scooter. While it initially was good, it almost started leaking in the back tire after less than a dozen rides. Upon inspection, the air leak isn't even on the outer tire, but coming from where the tire meets rim. Thus I suspect it wasn't even something on the road that damaged the tire, but something inside the tire itself. Scanning the reviews section, seems like a lot of people have issues with air leak from the back tire. Now I have to figure out how to fix the back tire, which is not easy/cheap - otherwise I basically cannot use this scooter at all. This is my first scooter where I had issues this fast after purchase (usually my previous scooters usu last 1-2 years for me) - so definitely very disappointed :(

We’ve had this scooter for over two weeks now. There was a minor hiccup when we received the wrong scooter. That being said, the customer service team was very responsive and mailed out the correct scooter once they reviewed the images that confirmed the scooter was the wrong make/model. My son is very pleased with the ix3 so far. He states the larger wheels feel safer and don’t get stuck in the edges of the side walk, which has caused him to fall with other scooters, and the suspension makes for a smoother ride on grass/trails. I feel like the price is relatively fair given how much he enjoys riding it.

This scooter is amazing. I've put just over 1,300 miles on it in just over 14 months of use. Not one issue or reason to change. The heavy duty tires, shocks, power, and speed make this my favorite as I've owned 2 other scooters from big named companies. This one hands down has been completely maintenance free as well. Only thing that just happened was the finger throttle has an internal plastic locking mechanism that just broke. I just ordered a new throttle for $21 but other than that this scooter has been completely worth the purchase, highly recommend it!

I have had this scooter for about a month now (145 miles), and it performs well up to iScooter's claims. It has 3 power settings which are actually quite handy, allowing you to switch between less a touchy throttle and lower speeds when you need precise control, up to full power on a good surface with plenty of room. The range and top speed claims are legit: I'm 205lbs and it easily reached the rated speed on the flats at each power setting (Eco 9mph, Std 19mph, Turbo 25mph) though I keep it in the STD setting most of the time. It climbs even steep hills well and does well on unpaved surfaces, like your average trail or dirt road. The brakes are great, though they are set up like a motorcycle with the rear on the left, which takes a bit of getting used to for those who ride bicycles. The display is simple and easy to read. There is an App which gives more precise information on battery charge (and some things there is no context to use like scooter temperature...?) I have not ridden it at night so won't comment on the headlight but have had a ton of fun with it already and think it was worth the price. The range and claimed speeds are all realistic, brakes and suspension are both solid, and yesterday I took a leisurely ride with a friend on an ebike, keeping up without issue. My only complaint isn't really fair, but it is heavy. I can lift it in and out of my trunk, but imagine some might struggle to do so. It is a solid reassuring scooter but a bit heavy to slog around. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this scooter and will probably buy additional electric toys after the positive experience. HINT: as Li batteries prefer to be stored between 20-80% charge, I have found you get about 8% for each 30min on the charger, making it easy to charge up to 80% after a ride and then top it off quickly before another.

Update: after 9 months of continuous issues with the scooter and emailing iscooter’s customer service, they finally sent a replacement. This scooter is definitely brand new and I’m beginning to think the first two I purchased through Amazon were refurbished. Iscooter even sent the upgraded version with the seat and my son is very happy with it. I’m hoping we don’t have anymore issues like we did with the last one. If you do order an iscooter, I would order from iscooter directly and not a third party. Do not buy this scooter! I actually purchased two scooters and one I have not had any issues with except the kickstand doesn’t hold up the scooter and it easily falls over. I still give this scooter ZERO stars because I have had nothing but issues with the second scooter and customer service is a joke. Immediately the battery wouldn’t hold a charge, then after changing the battery it ripped the footing sticker and I had to replace that. Next, the rear tire had a blow out after not even two months of riding it. The rear tire is so incredibly hard to change, they don’t make the actual sizes needed for the repair and Iscooter didn’t have the part in stock so they sent a universal one from Amazon. It was a tubeless vacuum tire (which isn’t supposed to require an inner tube). After spending an entire day trying to change the tire, days of taking it to tire shops because the valve wasn’t the correct size, and countless phones calls, I had to have a bike shop repair it for $58 in labor, not including the vacuum tire itself and come to find out it needed an inter tube. Then an error code appeared on the screen and the scooter shutdown while my ten year old son was driving it and the rear tire locked up. Now the scooter’s throttle is broken. I can move it all the way around and the scooter will not run. It doesn’t accelerate when on. I’ve dealt with customer service and they are so difficult to get ahold of to get any resolutions. They’re slow to respond when they do and full of excuses as to why they haven’t replied in last five months. Then they request impossible videos of the broken parts, like send a video of the error code that shows up while your ten year old son is driving it when it shuts down, and the tire locks up. First off, I’m not having my kid video this while operating the scooter that comes to an abrupt stop as this is a huge safety issue and now it won’t even drive to give them an error code. Then, they don’t even have parts in stock and you have to order universal parts that don’t work or fit correctly. I’m still under my year warranty. I’ve requested a new scooter I don’t know how many times and they only want to fix these parts with the most ridiculous requests. It took six months the to get a refund for the rear tire repair. A $500 scooter should not have this many issues and it only has 400 miles on it. I’m beyond frustrated with this company as I only want it replaced with a new one since it’s still under warranty. I don’t have time to keep up with these emails and repairs for this brand new defective scooter! Even taking it to a shop, takes so much time out of my days, dropping it off and picking it back up across town. Then having to request a refund from iscooter and that taking six months to process. Only for it to continue to have more issues. It’s the biggest headache and I wouldn’t recommend this scooter to anyone even if it were half the price! Hopefully they’ll exchange the scooter since it’s still under warranty and I’ll be able to update this review but for now it gets 0 stars.
