Wonderful start to a great series ❤️
This is one of my favourite books. I'm hugely excited for Daydream to come out and am currently reading Wildfire. All of these books of course feature in the Maple Hills series.Icebreaker is the first in the series and it's filled with drama, sass, romance and spice. Nathan is definately up there with book boyfriends and Anastasia certainly holds her own.Anastasia is the skilled and talented osce skater whilst Nathan is captain of the hockey team. They don't get off to go a good start when they are forced to share the ice rink. But what starts off as enemies soon becomes lovers.I really enjoyed the character development in this book especially as Anastasia has high levels of anxiety. I felt this was written well and captured what it's like to have anxiety. The way Nathan supported her through this was lovely. There's a villain in this book also that made me want to shake Anastasia's naivety at times. But I did have to remember this is set in college. The spicy scenes are great also. And I loved all the friends too. So lots of other books to come.

I’ve said so many times that hurt people hurt people,
Finally, I gave in and read the "TikTok recommend" icebreaker. It's was a fab read, full of humour, manipulation, unsuspecting love, and character growth. Would definitely recommend it to others, too.

BRILLIANT READ
Icebreaker by Hannah Grace book 1 in the (Maple Hills). This was my first book by Hannah. I've seen and heard so much about this book, so I couldn't wait to finally read it. I was not disappointed. I fell in love reading it and devoured every single page within days. Really loved that it was told by Anastasia and Nate Pov.I was so gripped by the story that I couldn't put it down. Anastasia Allen is a paired ice skater that wants to be in team USA. I loved Stas, she made me laugh so much, the banter in this was brilliant. She is such a tough little cookie too after everything that's against her. She will not let that beat her, from what she wants to achieve. I loved how she stood up towards the guys and the hockey team #giggles. There were some fabulous scenes that Stas did to wind them up, especially Nate. OMG Nate is so adorable, like seriously why isn't there more guys like him. As captain of Team he has a lot of responsibilities looking after his team. LOL there is one scene on the rink where the hockey and ice skaters have to share and I was in stitches. With Stas up to her shenanigans with his teammates was hilarious. I loved the caring and the support Nate gives Stas through the book. It was absolutely heart melting and had me awwwing through it all. The romance was so HOT and SCORCHING and everything you wish for in a romance Contemporary.I loved everything about Nate's friends, and how they all love winding each other up. I guessed quite a bit of the story, as bits were obvious but that didn't put me off as it was written so well. There was a character that I really did not like, if you no you know right. I can say I was very happy with the ending though, it made me so happy. I will absolutely be reading more Hannah books, I can't wait for the next book Wildfire.

One dirty book ig
To be honest, it was enjoyable but the book is more college life than an actual romantical relationship progressing in a way?( I can't describe it sorry 😭) The book want BAD but it wouldn't be a book that constantly consumes my thoughts.

Enemies to lovers college romance
I had seen this book at the library and was unsure whether to get it or not, but after going through an intense reading spate between November 2024 to now I decided to take a chance on it and I’m glad I did.Anastasia and Nate meet after an unfortunate incident ruins the hockey teams ice rink and the figure skating and ice hockey teams have to share one rink. Anastasia is most perturbed at this development as she is training for a competition, she detests Nate and is determined not to give him the team of day while she befriends and charms his ice hockey team mates. After having met people like him I utterly detested Aaron, he is a gaslighting, coercive, narcissistic manipulator and I longed for Anastasia to see through him like Nate did from day one. His behaviour towards Anastasia stinks so I was pleased what he got his just desserts.Anastasia is a commitment phobic, as she and Nate get closer it was good to see her walls come down in a realistic way. You can tell from the way Nate treats her he really loves her and I loved reading their interactions, particularly when she is determined to hate him towards the start. One spoiler the scene where drunk Nate comes looking for Anastasia as he wants to cuddle after she puts him into bed at his home was hilarious and had me laughing out loud. I had to explain to my bemused husband who was looking at me in puzzlement why I was laughing so much. This book is a fun and entertaining enjoyable read and I would not hesitate to recommend.
