it just makes me feel a bit sad when I see him
I owned seasons 1 through to 7 of Everybody Loves Raymond, so naturally I bought series 8.I have to say with a heavy heart though, this is the weakest series that I have seen. I say that because I have yet to buy series 9, the final season. My reasons...........Firstly and most obvious to me anyway, Peter Boyle looks so fragile and aged. Now I have no idea what the man was maybe going through, health wise or any strain in his personal life, I don't know. But, just speaking purely on my own behalf, it just makes me feel a bit sad when I see him.The whole of this season also feels very forced compared to all the others, I feel I'm being very harsh here, but I think so highly of the previous seasons, that I can't help but notice, it just seems very tired.Basically, to me, this season has lost it's spark. Nothing seems to click the same, even the chemistry between the cast has withered. As I said, I don't feel great writing this, because I really like this programme, it says a lot about a sitcom when you can watch certain episodes over and over again, and never get tired of them. But I just have to write a review when I feel strongly about something.I shall promptly write a glowing review of the previous seven series.

Fantastic!
I first saw this on Channel 4, in the morning before setting of before college. I never thought I'd end up liking it so much, that I'd make it part of my daily routine.Ray Romano stars as Raymond, the man with all the luck compared to his brother Robert who's life is a failure. Hance the title Everybody Loves Raymond.Ray is married and has 3 children and his parents live across the road, much to the annoyance of his wife Debra. The is a comedy about family life, something that most of us can relate too, making it more funny. There is some great one liners and word play, aswell as the odd bit of physical comedy from Brad Garrett (Robert). It originally took me a while to get into it, but once I was in the zone I could relate it to things in my life. Each character in the family is completely different and hillarious in their own way, leading to some hillarious situations. The 8th season catches the show still in it's peak.It is a must see, simply excellent. There are also extras on the DVD too, including a few commentaries and bloopers.Just buy it!

Everybody LOVES Raymond
Another great series from the fantastic Ray Romano. This season is fantastic just like the others. Ray is a sports writer who lives with his wife Debra and three children, Allie,Jeffry and Michael. He has a great life the only downside fr him is tht fact that his parents Marie and Frank and his brother Robert live right across the street!! This sitcom focuses on him and how his parents drive him mad buy doing things that they think is helpfull to him and Debra. The opening titles are always funny too

Great show. The DVD is packed in a small case with no booklet. Still you will get great value in your purchase, specially in this price. No subtitles in portuguese, like in season 7.

Funny
A good laugh if you like American humour. It is a good diversion if you need a rest from all the bad news these days.

what a shame this is the last series!
I have all of the series and know every episode, but never tire of watching them again and again. They never cease to make me laugh. So funny, totally brilliant. Get to know the Barones and you will also grow to love them! Brighten up your day with Ray.
