so it's probably not a good idea to hand these out to kids because they ...
I purchased these specifically for a crab dinner night that I was hosting. The set came in a decent but not reusable friendly box because the tools are held in place by twisty ties. The forks are sharp, almost knife-like; so it's probably not a good idea to hand these out to kids because they will use them as spears. As for the crackers themselves, they do what they were designed to do. The hinges are a bit on the flimsier side, but these were also on the cheaper side of the spectrum. Basically, you get what you pay for. It's better than cracking the crab legs with your teeth.

Better than the Rest
I grew up in coastal New England, and in our household, we went through a lot of these types of instruments. They tend to be made rather on the cheap, and break after some simple wear and tear. That is not the case with this set. They are sturdy and durable, and will summarily crack the hardest of shells, be they of the crustacean or botanical variety. Further, they hold up remarkably well in the dishwasher, without staining - another frustration about typical seafood instruments. If you can fight the temptation to purchase such an implement that doesn't look like a crab claw (I know that is asking for a lot!), you'll appreciate these tools.

Otherwise not bad. Thank you're
There was a problem with the spacing in the crushing jaws. The gap could be cut down by a third so as to make it easier and safer when trying to break the Legs and feelers. My wife had her finger Jammed in the stopping pieces in between the crushing jaws whilst attempting to use these wide open parts. Otherwise not bad. Thank you're. Also thank you for the fast delivery time

The only complain is that the crackers are really hard to move - quite a bit of friction so it's really hard to use the tool with one hand. Even challenging to crack with both hands (which then makes holding the claw impossible). For the price, they are good but I'll be trying to put some WD40 or something on the joints to see if that helps.

The seafood tool set worked nicely and everyone had their own set of crackers
I had some friends over for Crab Legs but 2 days prior to them coming over I discovered that I only had 2 Crab legs crackers so I utilized the free trail of Amazon Prime and received them on time for my dinner. The seafood tool set worked nicely and everyone had their own set of crackers. A very good product. Not cheap looking at all and worked well with cracking the crab legs... I am glad I selected this brand.

A nice quality seafood tool set that helps make a seafood dinner more enjoyable!
Instead of our usual Christmas menu, I chose to have a variety of seafood and fish and am so glad I decided to update my seafood utensils before Christmas Day. As the old saying goes, having the right tools to work with makes all the difference. This set is quality and substantial and we didn't have any problems cracking lobsters or other seafood with shells. I hand wash this set as I do many utensils. They were packaged very well and arrived on the promised delivery date.

Not for anything more than Chix
I needed a new set of Lobster Crackers after I bought a few 2 1/2 pounders. The crackers I had didn't open wide enough to crack the claws. I had to use a hammer on them (hard shelled). So I went shopping for new ones. These crackers are no better than the old ones I already had, they don't open wide enough. All they're good for is maybe cracking Chick Lobsters.. or maybe nuts. At least my old ones had a good weight to them. They feel like a very light-weight aluminum. The forks are light-weight as well. I have small hands and it's hard for me to get a good grasp on them. Absolutely not worth $21. Keep shopping.

I can see why some people are happy with them
The forks are okay, but the crackers are very light-weight. These are not of high quality, but they're also not that expensive. I can see why some people are happy with them, but I'm looking to add to what I already have -- nice, heavy-duty crackers. These are not even close.
