Works Ok
I like the build material of this cable. The cable length is not bad if your battery pack is kept within 20 in of the camera. I've noticed that when the camera goes to sleep, I sometimes have to unplug and re-plug the cable to the power pack in order to get the camera to power back up. It's fine on continuous drain though. The RAVPOWER battery packs I'm using are older units and I've only used them to charge my phones and tablets. However, I think they'll do for now. As for the cable, I think it's worth the purchase.

Works great, but only one drawback
Even though it works exactly as described - the only gripe I have about it is the coiled part of the cord. If they could make it a little less springy - or resistant to stretch, or even just have it completely uncoiled, that would be sweet. Had to buy a USB extension cord to get this to work with my astrophotography setup.

Somehow managed to reset my camera's clock, and the coiled cable is annoying.
As the heading says, somehow while using this, it managed to reset the clock in my camera. I had it plugged in and let the camera go to sleep. When I half-pressed the shutter a few minutes later to wake it, I was presented with the first-time setup screen. I had to set the region and clock, but thankfully none of my other settings were blanked. Very strange. I've only had this happen once, but now I'm apprehensive to use it again. The dummy battery has a channel to lay the cable in, so it meets the flap in the camera's battery door, just like on the official Sony AC-PW20 adapter. I didn't have any issues with it getting caught. As far as I can tell, this does not require any sort of fast charging support from the power supply. It simply boosts the 5V up to the 7-8V that a typical battery would output. While shooting in burst mode with a more power-hungry lens attached, I saw the power draw peak at just over 2.1A.I wish this actually did support something like Quick Charge 2.0/3.0, as stepping down would be more efficient and require less current from the power supply.Regarding the cable, the coil is very annoying. I'd much rather have a straight cable and an included velcro strap. Stretching the cable is likely to yank the USB plug out. You're basically left with a very bulky 40ish centimeter cable, not the "35-100cm" cable advertised.Overall, I don't know if I can recommend this. If it hadn't caused the clock to reset, I'd only really be able to complain about the useless coiled cable. Shame, because the cable and dummy battery actually feel like they're made quite well.

Pricey decoded USB-to-Sony FW50 battery adapter by Hersmay lacking polish worth the price
The decoded USB to Sony NP-FW50 battery adapter by Hersmay is made in PRC (china). The adapter I ordered was sold as new. I received a previously returned battery adapterunit, noted by the "LPN RR" sticker on the mylar bag instead of the missing original box (minus 1 star). The battery adapter part has a slot to run the cord to either end of the adapter, and this can get stuck on the battery keep in the camera (as it did on my RX10 each time and the A7ii) (minus 1 star). I expect to spend $20 and get a proper fitting adapter along with proper fitting electronics inside the adapter.3 stars
